EPL Game Week 38

All good things must come to an end because all things shall come to pass. I am still paying too much for soccer on cable TV through Starhub and Mio! This too should come to an end! What are you going to do on weekend nights for the next three months? I have been giving the lowdown since the 2011/2012 season kicked off. Let me finish off in a flourish for the last EPL matches. I am still pissed off for having to pay too much again if I wanted the Euro 2012 kicking off in June. Should I be pissed off or pissed on? And you?

City has one hand on the title and should go on to heal 44 years of hurt. Some detractors would say that they bought the title but not everyone who has money wins championship although it will definitely help. Even in life, we are always competing on unequal footing. If you father is a rich man, you could end up spoiled, become very successful or even end up dead. Others like Chelsea has spent much too and that included Man Utd over many years. What City did was they spent a lot over two years. Frankly, for all the fans of the Red Devils, it is far better for Utd not to win this time so that the owners will have to provide more funds to compete and bring on a stronger team for next season. You have to remember the fight is not just about Man City.

EPL Gameweek 38

Chelsea v Blackburn - Whether Chelsea win or loose they will remain in 6th position. Roberto di Matteo has proven to be more effective winning the FA Cup and now to battle Bayern Munich for Europe's ultimate trophy. Their focus will be on the latter while Blackburn is confirmed going down after losing 0-1 to Wigan ending many years in the Premier League. There'll be little meaning left in this match but Chelsea reserves will still be too strong. 2-0.

Everton v Newcastle - Everton has been a revelation after a slow start. There are no further rewards here except to be on top of their Red neighbours at Merseyside. If Everton has been a revelation then Newcastle has been a revolution. They are now a team that is hard to break down and scores wonderful goals. The 0-2 loss to City means it is much harder to get into Europe but it seemed nobody wanted 3rd spot as both Arsenal and Tottenham drew their respective games. The Magpies need a win here while hoping for both Arsenal and Spurs to drop points. Never mind that, the Magpies are already flying. Alan Pardew for manager of the year!? As a future England Manager? England should be giving opportunities for their own English managers to flourish. The time to start is now. Both teams are in form and hard to be beaten. Jelavic to score for Everton and Cisse for Newcastle. 2-2.

Man City v QPR - The entire season is now dependant on this match. QPR can still go down if they loose this game, Wigan did not loose and Bolton won. QPR can spoil the party and give the biggest upset of all time as they need to fight for their survival so no quarters will be given but at the Etihad with City smelling blood? City restricted Man Utd to not a single shot at goal last week followed by an impressive 2-0 win away to Newcastle. It will be an emphatic 3-0 win for City and then the title!

Norwich v Aston Villa - Norwich manager Paul Lambert took them to great heights and can be a candidate for manager of the year. Grant Holt has 14 goals and could play for England but he is not likely to be favoured. Come back to Sengkang. I think Villa will remain with 38 points as Norwich wins this 2-1.
Stoke v Bolton - Stoke will be tough to beat especially at home. Has Bolton left it too late. If only they didn't concede the equaliser to WBA. A battling 2-2 draw.
Sunderland v Man Utd - In mid-season, you may want to think Sunderlnad could win this but not now. Man Utd needs to win and hope City doesn't to be champs. Utd can get that narrow win. 1-2.

Swansea v Liverpool - What a season Liverpool has been having. Andy Carroll scored quite an amazing goal beating Terry and Cech in the FA Cup Final. He should have got that second with with the towering header. Dalglish may not be around for next season. The best person for Liverpool to appoint would be Jose Mourinho. Mourinho won with Porto in Portugal, Chelsea in England, Inter Milan in Italy and now Real Madrid in Spain. He is indeed "The Special One". There's a catch, he needs money to spend. Swansea should crown a good performance for a wonderful first season. Brendan Rodgers could be a candidate for manager of the year. Liverpool seems to be scoring. 1-2.

Tottenham  v Fulham - Clinton Dempsey and Fulham continued to be a threat at Craven Cottage but they are not great travellers. let's hope that Dempsey stays with Fulham or at worse stays with the EPL. Tottenham must win and hope Arsenal does not to leapfrog them but their form has been patchy at best. Meanwhile, Tottenham right back Kyle Walker has been named the PFA's Young Player of the Year. He should be featuring more prominently for England. Watch this free-kick goal that would make a top striker and free-kick specialist really proud. 2-1. Bale and Dempsey to score.

WBA v Arsenal - van Persie to score again to exceed 30 goals and Arsenal to win 2-1.
Wigan v Wolves - Wigan are unbeatable now. Give them another 20 matches and they will win the league. Wolves farewell game with the EPL. 2-0.
