Do you remember that there were times you were watching some futuristic movies many years ago and they try to show you what the future will look like with computers, robots, etc. Then they flashed on the screen "...in the year 2013..."  Well, we have got past 2013 now and are right in the future in 2014! Out with the snake and welcome the galloping horse, a majestic animal indeed. Spring Cleaning? Spring cleaning anyone? Let me be frank, I no longer enjoy it.  Just clear some cobwebs and if someone visits and saw a spider, I will just tell them it is my pet spider and I will name it after the questioner. I do not have a domestic helper and need to get out of this cycle of poverty.  When I was a child, the weeks before CNY was filled with excitement and anticipation because grandma, mum and all the aunts would meet and come around to help prepare CNY cookies, etc. and it gave a festive spirit. Soon, it will be goodbye Sam hello Samantha. The tame and timid Rabbit is no more.  Strange things do happen to people. Bunnies are known for their breeding ability. They hope around, eat and make babies. The irony is that people just love to have Dragon babies because the zodiac says that the mystical creature has great powers but  then you look at some Dragon people and you are surprised. You are going to face problem with places in childcare centres, school, etc. There are also very successful, powerful and great people in other zodiac signs too.  Are you done and through with your spring cleaning and clearing cobwebs. People wish one another a Happy and Prosperous New Year every year as we cross over from 31 December into 1 January. It is the time of the year where there are great festivities as it is just after Christmas and then following it the Lunar New Year. It is also a special time of the year because whatever you have been doing for the year, you have worked hard and deserve a good closure especially with a handsome bonus. Because things are more costly or venues more difficult to get, some companies actually host their D and D way ahead of Christmas and as early as July or August but at this time of the year you are still struggling with work and you are robbed of the festive spirit or mood. Why don't they keep it closer to Christmas but change the venues to possibly cheaper ones or tho...

This is a persistence problem which gets louder the closer you are to the Lunar New Year. Discarded furniture, opened box cartons of new television sets purchased all being dumped at a stairway cum lift landing where it is supposed to be your fire escape. Few years back two from a family died when they tried to escape a big fire when they ran into stuffs that blocked their way. These are educated Singaporeans, maybe with better education than me, live in condominiums and are successful people. What happen? Why can't they pay $10-20 and get the cleaners to dispose at the same time reward some one for work? What's education for? We have to clean up our souls my friends.
