EPL 2017/18 - Game Week 25

Game week 25 kick off on 31 January and 1 February 2018 respectively with 'live' telecast at an ungodly hour.  Most of us may have to sleep over it unfortunately. Chelsea began last week with a solid result and Arsenal became better Gunners with a convincing win while Manchester United played like United under Mourinho with a slim away win. Manchester City continued their march unabated albeit a less exciting win while Tottenham were less convincing gaining only a point though once again Kane came to their rescue. Liverpool having ended top gun City's unbeaten record in spectacular style, ended their own unbeaten record through a defeat by bottom club Swansea despite 72% possession. A major contrast in consistency. This is where the Reds need to do what Mourinho's team do by winning 1-0 games.  Game Week 25 Swansea v Arsenal - Swansea's fortunes may have turned around. They have not lost in 4 matches and won their last 2 including a great and unbelievable 1-0

What Are You Grateful For?

It was the wettest New Year's Eve I could remember. Even as the New Year dawned on us, nothing has really changed has it? I just wanted to remember what I ate and nothing, not even the weather is allowed  to dampen my spirit.  Wonderful Eggs Benedict and  Pork Cheek. I saw the light's reflection of a colourful year ahead and we should spread the joy and we are going to say as the plate suggests: "What a spread!" I saw something on the wall for 2018 - It says: ''Your wings already exist. All you have to do is fly!" I should have posed in front of those wings except for someone sitting there that looked less angelic. Oops! We should never be self righteous. Something  we should be acutely aware of for 2018.  Singapore is getting more happening. The wild life I mean. We have a very cold period here and one day may have our very own winter. By then, you can flaunt your winter fashion wear. Ev

EPL 2017/18 - Game Week 24

What a classic! What a game! Two attacking teams and best goal-scorers at each other with all kinds of records to break or set. Where buses are parked far away and they came in fired up motorbikes as in Mad Max. All the worries about Coutinho's loss was consigned to the dustbin. Coutinho was very important to Liverpool but he was not the best. Not even the best Brazilian who should be Roberto Firmino. His goal was audacious! When the lineup came in without Virgil van Dijk, some feared the worst. But Liverpool as a team and individually stepped up which was what Klopp said as much - to step up. It also gave the chance to show the best of Klopp. He had belief and conviction. This does not mean the Reds will go on to win every match like this but it was a tactical master class with courage to boot. It inflicted Manchester City's firs defeat in 40 premier leagues games and their first this season ending their record run. All teams who have played City and have lost previously

EPL 2017/18 - Game Week 23

There is no place on earth more hectic and frenetic than in the English Premier League. It is also around this time that could make or break a team. Manchester City set a new record of 18 wins, just one shy of Bayern Munich both set by Pep Guardilio as an unlikely candidate Crystal Palace under Roy Hodgson who stopped their winning. Meanwhile Arsene Wenger also set a new record of being the longest serving manager beating Sir Alex Ferguson's old record but still Wenger Arsenal's stint can't catch me on my record.  Meanwhile, rumours that swirled around Philippe Coutinho's record breaking move to Barcelona has come true. It could be a great match but the magician's mercurial skills may not necessary make him the same player he is at Liverpool. Though Liverpool are not interested to sell, money talks and eventually there is no point to keep someone who is bent on moving and with the big money expected, the Reds could then go on to get someone who is also excellen
