Ego. What is ego? To be e goistic is to be one devoted to one's own interest and advancement, an egocentric person, an egotist. Egoism is an excessive or exaggerated sense of self importance as oppose to a ltruism which is the selfless concern for the welfare of others. To another extreme, the art of cunning would be  Machiavellianism which is a tendency to deceive and manipulate others for personal gain while an alter ego is another side of oneself, a second self or personality. I think the highest form of self deception is  Suitheism - the belief in self as a deity. That is you think you are God. Can You Really Hit A Fairway Wood? Do you really need a fairway wood? If so, can you really handle it? If not, why do you still carry one? If you carry one, why are you not using it? This is my poser. When a beginner bought a golf set last time they gave you a driver, a 3-wood and a 5-wood all of which we can't handle. In fact, even the more proficient players cannot claim to be a master of their fairway woods. You observe a golf game and you will realise many golfers will inevitably pull out a fairway wood to hit their second shot when they are faced with a distance to go.
