EPL 2019/20 - Game Week 24

Wow oh wow! Manchester City nearly lost at the Etihad! They trailed Palace till the 82nd minute before Aguero levelled and then took the lead in the 87th minute through Aguero again and what a player Kun Aguero is! It is hard to find another like him and the last time there was one it was the one and only great Romario from Brazil. Unfortunately for City, the game ended at 2-2 which meant they are 13 points behind Liverpool who now now have 2 games in hand at the time. So if only if the Reds won their next 2 games they could go up to 19 points ahead.  I told you Palace are a good team that could surprise anyone on a good day. Roy Hodgson is quite a genius! And now Liverpool have gone on to do exactly that as they won 2-0 at Anfield against Manchester United! 16 points clear with a game in hand! Elsewhere, Watford held Tottenham to a 0-0 draw at Vicarage Road,  Arsenal allowed a later equaliser from John Fleck for Sheffield  United to hold them 1-1 at the Emirates. Chelsea were def

EPL 2019/20 - Game Week 23

Game Week 22 kind of defines each team's season putting them in perspective. Sheffield United's 1-0 win over West Ham showed clearly that Chris Wilder should be celebrated for the way he moulded his team without stars into one that is difficult to beat and could take on any team and give them a run for their money. He could have won some best manager awards if not for Klopp. West Ham's bubble burst after a couple of wins under David Moyes. Arsenal are in unfamiliar territory in 10th after being held a goal apiece by Crystal Palace despite an early lead but their goal scorer and captain Aubameyang made a crazy career threatening tackle and saw red and shall be suspended thus deepening their crisis as Palace held on to 9th spot and a good season under Roy Hodson. Frank Lampards' Chelsea kept 4th spot and pro ved they could cope with their youngsters with a 3-0 trouncing of Burnley. Everton's narrow 1-0 home win over Brighton confirmed they are better than the rest bu

Callaway ERC Soft Triple-Track

The ERC name has been used in Callaway Golf brand/model. It is actually short for Ely Reeves Callaway, the founder of Callaway. It was first used in their longest driver - the ERC and later also the irons.  Callaway have been very much into golf balls and are now the second largest by a mile. The Callaway Chrome Soft was a huge success. Now they have introduced the ERC Soft which like the Chrome Soft were infused with Graphene. Graphene sells for $100 to $200 per gram and is super strong, even stronger than diamond. The inventors of graphene were Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov. They are also present in golf's graphite shaft such as the Aldila Synergy. This is one of the world's strongest and yet a very flexible material known to mankind.  It is here to help the 3-piece ERC Soft to be of soft feel and yet strong and rigid to retain energy and deliver ball speed with a high launch and low spin. The added speciality of this ball is the "Triple Track Technology&q

EPL 2019/20 - Game Week 22

Brighton started Game Week 21 on a good night as they matched Chelsea shot for shot despite the Blues early lead and what an equaliser it was in the 84th minute when Iranian substitute Alireza Jahanbakhsh thundered in a wonder overhead bicycle kick. Aston Villa must have a rollicking from their manager Dean Smith after a 0-3 thrashing by Watford and came back fitting to win 2-1 away to Burnley where once again captain Jack Grealish provided an assist and scored one. Leicester City kept second place as they made light meal of Newcastle at St. James Park even as they were without Jamie Vardy and what a goal by Hamza Choudhury smashing an unstoppable shot onto the underside of the crossbar to get in! Southampton continued their strong revival as they absorbed whatever Spurs threw at them and Danny Ings made his mark with a clever goal to seal victory and the Saint have now won three an drew one in their last four matches propelling them up to 12th in the table.  Watford was exactly l

Joyous Seafood

One of life's simple joy is in discovery. In ancient times, they could set sail and discover land and islands. In 1492, Italian explorer Christopher Columbus went to the Americas and claimed the land for Spain and so they said Columbus discovered America. I heard from a friend once that while still on the ship, Columbus saw a land from afar and asked his Chinese mate what it was. H is Chinese mate who happened to be Cantonese took a look and exclaimed: "Ah, mat yeh lei ka?" And Columbus nodded "A-me-ri-ca!  America!" Fast forward to 2016 when Trump became President. To make America grate again, he should have just banned pre-shredded cheese! Though not always hungry, I was inspired by Columbus. I want to discover good stuffs or new stuffs and so I did. I found Joyous Seafood Paradise. It was at a HDB block just opposite the Serangoon Stadium.  They have a wonderful seafood white bee hoon which I think may be one the best around. You have to eat to

EPL 2019/20 - Game Week 21

Season's Greetings and a Happy New Year!  The first mistake you gonna make during the New Year is to write your date wrongly. 2019 instead of 2020. You probably just cannot help it since you have been dating 2019 for a long time. That is the same problem with life. We are creatures of habit. So all you need to conquer is not others but yourself. Be a master of self and you can master everything. You do not need to seek to be better than others but to better yourself. Better than you were yesterday. The same it is for your soccer team.  When you walk through a storm, HOLD YOUR HEAD UP HIGH and DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK. At the end of the storm, There's a Golden Sky and the Sweet, Silver Song of a lark. Walk On through the wind, Walk On through the rain though your dreams may be tossed and blown, WALK ON, WALK ON with hopes in your hearts and YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE! You'll Never Walk Alone! YNWA! It is this spirit that is the embodiment of my belief. Even
