EPL 2021/2022 - Game Week 3

Liverpool are back for now with two solid wins but those are over Norwich and Burnley. Manchester City made light work out of Norwich. It appears that City seems to have an easy way with teams like Norwich and Burnley, etc. Was it the way they play that make things look so easy? Manchester United have stumbled at Southampton and fortunately salvaged a point. Tottenham have quietly gone about with two 1-0 wins. Chelsea showed their credentials as European Champions with an easy 2-0 win over Arsenal away from home but the team of the moment to me has been West Ham who twice came back to beat Newcastle 4-2 away and convincingly had Leicester City  thrashed 4-1. The whole team has been brilliant especially Coufal, Soucek, Rice, Fornals with Benrahma with Antonio the hottest! The Hammers' long-suffering fans can now shout "Come On You Irons"! I have always like West Ham since the days they supplied the England greats and continue to do so with their youths to the England team.

EPL 2021/2022 - Game Week 2

What a start to the new EPL season! Manchester United were the most impressive. Champions City limped out with an opening day defeat despite featuring 100million pounder Jack Grealish. The Six Million Dollar Man Steve Austin (Lee Majors) costs only 6 million back then but by today's value maybe worth like 40 or 50 million. If David Beckham was Golden Balls then Jack Grealish is the Golden Calves. Here is why...the greatest golden calves in world football since the days of Moses... Each calf costs 50 million pounds. I think Jack's calves will give Phil Mickelson more than a run for the money. Now look at Phil's. It has also been heartening to see Spurs fans showing support in a pre-season friendly to Bukayo Saka who was racially abused. Also great credit to the Brentford fans who stood out to applaud him in person and Leicester players who warmly and personally welcomed back Raul Jimenez on the pitch for his absence last season due to a cracked skull.  All in all it was a gr

English Premier League - 2021/2022 Season Game Week 1

After a strange 2020/2021 Premier League season, with the Euro 2020 just recently over in 2021, the EPL will be back very soon. Everyone is looking forward to it. Every team will once again seek to outdo one another but the damned virus is still lurking around and causing untold misery, damage and suffering. It has been sad and frustrating for everyone. Everyone has only one immediate wish - for Covid-19 to die and never return in any form. The return of the EPL could cheer some of us fans.  Let us look at each team and find out what has been happening and what they have done so far in preparation for the new season in terms of new signings and departures. While there is no guarantee of results, there will be impact. Some will grow bigger and stronger, others may still falter regardless their best intention and best laid plans. Game Week 1 is coming soon! I do not expect an explosive start to the new campaign due to summer exertions, the Euro, the Olympics and players who have been inj
