Teppei Daidokoro @ Timbre+
The first time I visited Timbre was at an old school at Mount Sophia. Now Timbre is everywhere - the Artshouse, the Substation, Gillman. Okay, seems like every where. But I was not checking out on Timbre but Timbre + and more appropriately Teppei Daidokoro @ Timbre +. You know Mr. Teppei set up a smallish Japanese Restaurant at Orchid Hotel called ''Teppei'' and the rest is history. There is a perpetual long and never-ending queue. For his dinner Omakase session it may have to book online and wait a month. But Teppei is everywhere now and going into even more food types. So I visited Timbre + to have Teppei Daidokoro. It was the former Ayer Rajah hawker centre turned into a cool and hip place. Interestingly, shipping containers adorn the place and they were decorated at strategic location and angles. There is an array of brightly coloured containers splashed with graffiti art. Certainly for the arty farty. You will be spoilt for food choic...
