Jimmy Greaves RIP The finest finisher and most natural goal scorer in the English game has passed away. His 41 goals for Chelsea in the old First Division remains a club record. His exploit with Tottenham made him a Spurs legend and his 44 goals in only 57 games made him an England great. He is the one who made every striker want to a goal scorer like him. RIP  Jimmy Greaves. Mohamed Noh Hussein - RIP One of Singapore's own great soccer legends - Mohamed Noh often affectionately known just as Mat Noh has gone home. Rest In Paradise.  Noh was one of my favourite players. Always the gentleman, he was good looking but shy and was a definite favourite of the women fans. Noh was also known as the Allan Clarke of Asia and Singapore because the way he played has an uncanny resemblance to Clarke who once played for Leeds United and England and was a most elegant and stylish player. I would venture further that Noh was even more stylish and elegant. Mat Noh running with the ball near the ri

I would venture further that Noh was even more stylish and elegant. Mat Noh running with the ball near the right touchline and running towards goal was pure poetry in motion. As elegant as a galloping horse and graceful as a swan. Noh was a  master of the dummy and body feint.  When right-back  Hasli Ibrahim  passed a ball forward to him, he would run towards it with his marker breathing down his neck but as he approached the ball, he will let it run through his legs, turned the de

Liverpool's important 3-0 away win over Leeds was a massive statement as elsewhere Chelsea trounced Villa 3-0 at Stamford Bridge with a brace from new signing, old boy Romelu Lukaku scoring a brace while  Manchester United crushed Newcastle 4-1 at Old Trafford with also a brace from new signing, old boy Cristiano Ronaldo. City won 1-0 at Leicester with new signing Jack Grealish playing well so far. Liverpool had only one signing - defender Ibrahima Konate who has so far not featured. While not every team that have big signings will win titles, Liverpool should have signed at least another proven forward and a midfielder even if they have always believe in bringing players with potential to train, groom and grow. New players can sometimes unsettle teams and staying with the trusted way with players together for a good period of time may have its advantages but so far, United and Chelsea are making all the noises.  18 year old Harvey Elliot's horrific injury is a case in point. Much ado about nothing. Tottenham Hotspurs are top of the Premier League. Nuno Espirito Santo and his Spurs are masters of efficiency. 3 wins, 3 clean sheets and a goal in each game that is all you need. Their London neighbour Arsenal are languishing right at the bottom of the table in last place despite spending much. City made light work of the Gunners. Was City really good or Arsenal really bad? Benitez is enjoying himself despite not being too welcomed at Everton. Liverpool bombarded 10-men Chelsea with an xG of 2.80 with 24 shots and 16 chances created but could only earn a draw against Chelsea's master class in defence. Wolves put on a gallant display at the Molineux with an xG of 2.25 to United's 0.58 and yet lost to an 80th minute Mason Greenwood goal - his third in three games, a goal in each and the boy is only 19! The last time a teenager did that was Liverpool's Robbie Fowler.  Talking about being 19, Liverpool's Harvey Elliot was a surprise when Klopp start
