Walk-A-Jog

Image
Running, walking and cycling outdoor is good as it frees your mind from the wanton desires of the world. Perhaps our hearts and lungs are like speaker cones that when not in use for some time can break or tear. There have been several reports that brisk walking in itself can be as good as if not better than running. I mean the human race has been condemned a long time ago. Train too hard and over-stretched and something bad may happen, not doing anything to exercise and something else will and so I moderated to a "Walk-A-Jog" down by the riverbanks.  I saw two teenagers fishing along the slope and as you can see the sign says "Deep Water". I believe they could swim but sometimes even good swimmers got into trouble in open sea or even in some water ways. There are also people who often get into deep water in life. The signs of life are often not as obvious as this sign. You have to analyse and search for it as they are sometimes subtle. Always take heed! ...

Photography - Water Lily (Nymphaea sp.)

Image
And God said: "Let the water teem with living creatures and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky. So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good". Genesis 1: 20-21. I got a bit more serious with photography so you will see improvement in the quality for a picture paints a thousand words. Let David Gates and Bread (roti) entertain you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGfVOdTiUEc Now my daughter is blogging and into photography and I hope you will enjoy her works: http://photovineyard.blogspot.sg/ Now for my first picture on arrival on a sunny morning. Nature is really an oasis for the disturbed mind. Don't get me wrong, yours could be more disturbed than mine. It is just that lots of people do not know. Even normal people or perfectly looking ones can be very disturbed....

Lorong Halus Wetlands - Lily Pond

Image
Armenia, Cameroon and Uganda has logged on to this blog. Welcome! That made it 112th-114th countries to do so. The other day, a friend recommended that I should join him and his children in diving since I like the sea and the creatures in it so much. I lamented that with whatever limited resources (time and money) I have, it will be very  difficult since I am already quite filled to the brim and thoroughly occupied in the current hobbies plus work. Also increasingly, I am getting quite fond of snapping pictures. Sometimes, I would just go some where just to snap pictures even as a novice. Not an expert on the high quality of pictures but an angle to tell a story for a picture can paint a thousand words they say. So I headed back to Lorong Halus, the Wetlands via Punggol East. As usual, there were strollers, runners, cyclists and all. What does this picture tells you? It was a cloudy yet hot and humid day and the ice-cream seller is doing great business. Plants can su...

Beautiful Punggol (part 2) - Lorong Halus

Image
Continued from Beautiful Punggol..... Violet, pink and white water lilies bloomed for you and me. They grew around the edge and perimeter around one side of the pond giving you an electrifying charge to your eyes. This would be paradise for frogs as the Lily pads are their launch or rest pads. If I had a house that big, I would have a pond this good. Watch the lilies dance in the sunlight. A good place to learn about the birds and the bees, well, at least the bees. This is how your daddies and mummies go to work to bring home honey and milk.  Sometimes, we get chased or eaten by frogs. The flower's colour made it looked like the glowing sun. In fact, sharpen your senses and you can feel the intensity of sunlight dancing on the petals. Looking at still flowers can be therapeutic. They speak to you softly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWqKPWO5T4o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQBW6G0hSrs Do you know the Godfather or God the fa...
