Beautiful Punggol (part 2) - Lorong Halus

Continued from Beautiful Punggol.....
Violet, pink and white water lilies bloomed for you and me.

They grew around the edge and perimeter around one side of the pond giving you an electrifying charge to your eyes.

This would be paradise for frogs as the Lily pads are their launch or rest pads.

If I had a house that big, I would have a pond this good.

Watch the lilies dance in the sunlight.

A good place to learn about the birds and the bees, well, at least the bees. This is how your daddies and mummies go to work to bring home honey and milk.  Sometimes, we get chased or eaten by frogs.

The flower's colour made it looked like the glowing sun. In fact, sharpen your senses and you can feel the intensity of sunlight dancing on the petals.

Looking at still flowers can be therapeutic.

They speak to you softly.

Do you know the Godfather or God the father?

Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder they say.

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. - James 1:12.

Those who have ears, let them hear and those who have eyes let them see. Walking in nature is like walking in God's backyard. Go to nature more often and you will have a different perspective of life.

Our young man wanted to do the dirt track all the way to Lorong Halus Dam. The path was long and arduous made worse on a hot day. Just as in the journey of life, sometimes you feel like giving up halfway because it is easier to give up and just wilt there but may a thousand flowers bloom for you.

Not sure if birds would lay eggs on such a sunny and hot day but the dragonflies were everywhere. When you see dragonflies hovering around ground level, rain is sure to follow later.

Lorong Halus Dam at low tide.

Even my loyal and trusted friend - my running shoes wilted and gave way.

PUB boats anchored at Halus Dam.

The trees were swaying.

When along a journey there was not much to see, any plant looked interesting.
Like a distance marker telling you that you'll soon be there. Haha, just like golf, you will eventually get there.

Even the lallang is taller than you.

Punggol is now well connected by the Park Connectors. In fact, over time the whole island will be connected.

The Green Chromide, quite a lovely fish isn't it?

It belongs to the cichlid family.

Wonder if Larry is related?

I was told that chili crab is as good as Melben?

Do you like fried chicken? I was told that this is better than the others. It comes with a lovely bun.

After a few bites, I kind of agree. No overkill on the seasoning, very crispy and golden brown on the outside and very tender and juicy on the inside. That's how it should be done. What I really needed was the coldest drink I can get.

Cycling is fun. More and more are taking to it. I used to have a mountain bike but I like the small ones. The one you see here on the foreground has tiny wheels and is foldable. Viola! It will fit into the car boot and it comfortably seats an adult. Just nice for a riverside ride.

It is a good place for nature, exercise, jogging, cycling, fishing, food, drinks, soccer, billiards, prawning or just a stroll. Happening!
