EPL Game Week 29

Now that Man Utd is tops, who do you think will win the title? United seems to be peaking nicely while noisy neighbour City had hit a dry patch. Will it culminate to their derby meeting as a decider. With ten more games to go, everyone is a cup final. Now it is United's turn to say if they win every game they are champs. Between them who has an easier run in? Who will be crowned?

Fulham v Swansea - I said Fulham aren't as great when on the road I still expected them not to loose. Though I knew Swansea is Arsenal light if it was a beer they surprisingly out passed and outscored Man City. Now Fulham is strong at home and have a chance but Swansea has just experienced euphoria. 2-2.

Wigan v WBA - Only Villa appear safer with a 10 point cushion, for the other five it will be survival. In-form WBA could not contain United but despite being away should be back to winning. 1-2.

Wolves v Man Utd - Wolves has beaten Man Utd before but not this time as the form of the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer. 1-3.

Newcastle v Norwich - Since that 0-5 thrashing by Tottenham, Newcastle has been in slumber. They were held at home 2-2 by Wolves and 1-1 by Sunderland then lost 1-2 to Arsenal away and Demba Ba hasn't scored. Based on probability Ba should score anytime soon. The Canaries play good soccer but they lost twice and were held 1-1 at to last placed Wigan and now in poorer form suddenly. 2-1 to Newcastle just based on probability.

Villa v Bolton - Villa is the "draw" specialist, a wonderful trait if you were playing golf as you take the right side of the fairway out of play. Then they had Fulham beaten which means they can actually win but Bolton climbed up of the bottom three with that home win over QPR and this must have lifted them. In all likelihood, this will be a draw. 1-1.

Blackburn v Sunderland - Blackburn hauled themselves away from the bottom three with that 2-0 away win at Wolves. Their form suggests that they can avoid relegation. It will be a bumpy affair and in all probability, they should deserve a home point. 1-1.

Man City v Chelsea - This will be massive! City has been overtaken by United albeit by a point. It will be a psychological blow if they allowed United to surge ahead if they lose or draw this match. They must win to make that derby date meaningful. Chelsea will not be easily cowed so City have to be at their best to make that date with United like a Cup Final. City lost to Sporting in Europe followed by Swansea.

They have to be more adventurous while watching Chelsea on the break. Silva will play a key role as he strings the team and spray the passes but City will be without defensive lynch pin Vincent Kompany while Chelsea's record was DLDLWLWW and ? It will be close. The old men of Chelsea made it count with Terry, Lampard, Drogba and Ivanovic overturning a 1-3 deficit to Napoli to win the 2nd leg 4-1 after extra-time. 2-1 to City despite the Blues gallant effort as they will be tired after extra-time just like you only wanted 2 drinks then a friend came along and you have one more, then another friend turned up and you go into extra-time, quarter finals, semi-finals and all. Next day, you are famished.

Tottenham v Stoke - Spurs lost three on the trot - 2-5 to Arsenal, 1-3 to Man Utd and 0-1 to Everton. Suddenly their confidence took a beating. As the planet rotates, you can find yourself behind though you were in front earlier.  Life is like that. Spurs must justify their love for Harry Redknapp. Stoke will be physical but finesse should triumph over brute force. An emphatic 3-1 return to Spurs.

Everton v Arsenal - Everton has been unbeaten for 5 straight games drawing twice and even beaten Chelsea and Man City until they lost 3-0 at Anfield. Will they get another scalp from Arsenal? David Moyes unfancied mob squad has been quietly climbing up and will be a match. In fact, they may even overtake their more illustrious red neighbour soon but Arsenal is on a vengeance. In their last five EPL matches they scores 18-6 aggregate and three times they came from the dead trailing Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle to win. They nearly also made it against Milan leading 3-0 in the first half but bowing out 3-4 on aggregate. That was a massive haul of 21 goals in 6 games averaging 3.5 goals. They are on a roll. 2-1 win for Arsenal again just as I predicted correctly their last two matches exactly 2-1. One goal for Everton because Arsenal's defence ain't as good as Liverpool. One day when I become a billionaire, I will buy over both clubs and merged them into Arsepool - Arsenal attack in front, Liverpool defence behind  and we will win the League! Maybe add Xavi, Iniesta and Messi to the midfield to be Arsepoolona or Barsepool?

QPR v Liverpool - In the last six matches, QPR drew two and lost four. They are in the "Down Zone" not Dow Jones while Liverpool lost three on the trot to Man Utd, Arsenal and Sunderland but bounced back strongly tearing apart Everton with a Steven Gerrard hattrick!
Here is Steven Gerrard standing next to my wax figure! Madam Tussaud is really good! It really looked like me.

It is a wrong time for QPR to meet Liverpool but QPR could score. They scored a goal almost in every match. Kenny Dalglish must win this one as Everton are breathing down their necks. Otherwise, he may have to find a job in shipping or logistics where it is even more stressful. 1-2 to the Reds.
