EPL Game Week 31

Sir Alex Ferguson himself would admit in private this is not the United team that will win more trophies. While Giggs and Scholes have been wonderful servants, keeping them around suggest a lack of certain qualities in the team. They struggled against Fulham but registered a win. It is their experience pulling them through. If they win the EPL title this season it would have been the weakest Man Utd team to have won and it was more due to others shooting themselves more in the foot.

Aston Villa v Chelsea - With 8 matches to go, Chelsea are now 5 points adrift from Tottenham at fourth place and level with Newcastle and are in danger of facing exit from European soccer next season. Villa the draw specialist were no match for the Gunners. Blackburn and Bolton may catch them if they do not start winning but to beat Chelsea even if Chelsea isaplyaing Benfica away on Tuesday? 1-2.

Everton v WBA - Everton defied the odds to win 2-0 at Swansea. WBA was 0-3 down at home to Newcastle by half-time only showing resilence to end the game 1-3. Everton must be favourites to win this. 2-1.

Fulham v Norwich - Norwich had beaten Wolves 2-1 with two well-taken goals from former Sengkang striker Grant Holt but he was red-carded. If Holt doesn't play will the Canaries have sufficient fire power especially at Craven Cottage? 2-1 to Fulham.

Man City v Sunderland - City is feeling the pressure and misfiring as their early season plunder dried up. Tevez, Balotelli have all been in the news for the wrong seasons. If you think that Stoke is a banana skin, then Sunderland could be a bigger banana. City have no choice now but to win, overcome a resurgent Arsenal later and have that dream date with Utd to win the title. 2-1.

QPR v Arsenal - I think QPR is a certain candidate to go down if the only theam they can beat is Liverpool. They perished 3-1 at the Stadium of Lights. Arsenal is on auto-pilot cruising to a comfortbale 3-0 win over Villa. QPR did socre in almost evry match. 1-3 to the Gunners.

Wigan - Stoke - Wigan is another probable candidate to join QPR down. Again, it is not funny that the only team they can beat is Liverpool. Liverpool is now the whipping boys of the relegation threatened teams. You need points? Bring on Liverpool as they just have no clue how to play the small teams. Stoke was stoic agains City to have held them 1-1. It will be a desperate game for Wigan, 1-1.

Wolves v Bolton - Bolton are on two wins in a row and Wolves has one foot in the next division. Wolves seem resigned to their fate but Bolton will be distracted by their FA Cup date with Tottenham a few days earlier. 2-2

Newcastle v Liverpool - Save for that 3-0 derby win over Everton, Liverpool has since lost to Arsenal, Sunderland, QPR and Wigan. With high morale comes the Magpies as Liverpool wallow in their sorrow. Liverpool are in grave danger unless they halt their sliding form as Sunderland and Everton are now just two points behind while Swansea and Norwich are three behind. However, Liverpool plays better against stronger teams so it could be a draw. 2-2.

Blackburn v Man Utd - Blackburn is in the best form of their life having lost 2, drew one and won four in their last 8 matches. Based on their current form, they need fear no one. Man Utd has been in rich form too but they laboured to a 1-0 win over Fulham and Blackburn has some times been a bogey team. 1-1.

Tottenham v Swansea - Spurs has forgotten their early season form and have not won since Harry Redknapp's candidature for England was reported. 3 losses and 2 draws have Arsenal leapfrogging over them into third spot but Swansea's open style will suit the Cockerels equally free flowing style and it will be a good match to watch. 3-2. Tottenham to win at last.
