Something strange has been happening to me recently. I am not sure if they were signals to me which meant anything. The birdies are coming to me!!!  I am not talking about golf, not the one under-par birdie but real '"live ones". These are once in a lifetime experience. No, make once in many lifetimes. One morning, on the way to work, I saw something from a distance going up the windscreen of a parked car. As I got nearer, I saw that it was a beautiful bird. It would jump or fly a little and glide down the windscreen.  Woodpeckers It was a woodpecker! You know the cartoon version - Woody Woodpecker? I have seen woodpeckers pecking at trees during nature walk or at a golf course but never on a car. Maybe it was the reflection.  Later I realise there were actually two birds, the other was at the front passenger door pecking at the glass! What an amazing sight and experience! Le, le, le, le, le, le, le, Love...L is for Life and Living, O is the oath of giving, V and E - Vow of Eternity, L-O-V-E love. Haha, the Wynners. As much as I may have liked the Wynners, my all time favourite is of course Ah Sam or Samuel Hui who is the Father of Canto pop. No one comes close. He is also the younger brother of one of my favourite comedian Michael Hui who is a genius that made people laugh. Here was Sam with his timeless classic and my fave - 浪 子 心 声 listen and read the lyrics, every word of which is so meaningful that I believe in every word here. They just don't write songs like this any more:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkoBCtMLn0A (Theme from Private Eyes): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc4pu4PB0YI (Trailer from the movie Private Eyes in 1976): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOwob5XNafg Do you notice that in countries with little or no natural resources, the people tend to have to work smarter, faster and harder? EPL 2015/2016 - Game Week 36

In the last few years, whenever I was at the Bangkok Airport returning to Singapore, I always see a shop called "King Power" and of course there are Leicester City FC jerseys and kits sold there with other memorabilia of the Foxes. Often, not many people are found in the shop or buying Leicester's kits. Today, all Leicester City's kits are sold out worldwide. What does it tell you about the world? That it is fickle and everybody loves a winner. Few are truly loyal. They only like you when you are successful but there are those truly loyal people out there. I have friends who still thinks Derby County or Leeds United are the best. "You can see the evening glow all over the sky. It'll soon disappear like mist; so do fame and fortune." Who said this? Samuel Hui in his song "Heart Of A Loafer". Isn't that true about life too. So Leicester will have to take heed but before anything else, Tottenham have done them a favour by drawing at home

HK 2015 - Part One

Is Hong Kong, the Pearl of the Orient losing its shine? Has the Fragrant Harbour lost its fragrance? Westerners love the place, so too many Asians. The Hong Kongers are not mere survivors, they are an enterprising people. During a round of golf, if a flight mate has his ball landed onto the top of a hilly area, I would call him Li Ka Shing or call him a wealthy man as only the wealthiest live at the top of a hill. I like Hong Kong because it is quite similar to Singapore and do not like HK for the same reason. I like the food but not the tight, smallish and being crowded in built up areas. But at the right time, she offers relief from the sweltering heat around winter and spring. Besides, all the childhood memories were from TV programmes and movies from HK. Star Wars Or Is Your Own Star At War? Taking an early morning flight out is always boon and bane. Star Wars exhibit greeted us this time. One of the key things I learned from Star Wars is about how Anakin Skywalker tur
