The Otter Run @ Punggol Park

I really miss my days of higher octane sports. Sometimes, I would swim but I only enjoy the floating sensation in the water and the coolness of water when I swim but after some time you are still at the same place.  Other times I would cycle. Cycling brings you to places you may not otherwise explore. You can ride to one end and realise there is nothing there. Its okay, you can quickly U-turn back. If you walk too far and deep somewhere, you may feel it is better to stay there and wait for someone to rescue you or stay and die there. I have stopped going to the gym for sometime now. I totally prefer the outdoors. You are not static. You can start and end at different places and never at the same spot. I like to be near, in and around nature. I started with Punggol Park, then Punggol Promenade and these days also to Punggol End. This time I decided to do Punggol Park, coming back to where I have started. We should never impose on our children in what they should do or what sports they should play. My parents never did that to me. I have friends who are like pro-bikers or triathlon pros and they are amazing people. I am always amaze by how they have this extreme endurance.  So my son wanted me to ride with him and...

Bulgaria came on my blog recently. Welcome. The US and Europe economies are in bad shape leaving us stranded again before we can take off. They are doing so badly that the only banks left doing so so are the sperm banks and even one sperm donor can have 150 offsprings that it is threatening the human race in another way. So if you don't cut it as a perm sec then be a sperm sec. The state of the economy is too depressing so let's talk about food. We still need to eat right? I had puffer fish once and did not die after I saw the others eating it and they didn't die. I had this at Tomoe (Thomson Road) - the Fugu Mirinboshi, a dried sweet puffer fish which tasted like "bak kwa", our Chinese BBQ pork. We had Bliss at Punggol Park for quite awhile, it was a popular hang out but has moved out and I read about the Wild Rocket's good food and that they had opened a joint where Bliss was called Wild Oats. We did the Mojito. Hmmm, not b...
