Labrador Park and its nature reserve is a special and historical place. Many brave men once defended our shores. We ought to have a soccer team in the S-League named as Pasir Panjang Warriors. Not only that, there was once way back in 1979, at the turn of the decade on 31 December that a group of friends aged between 18-20 that came together and we stayed over the night as we were all at a stage in life where we knew we were moving on in life. Where to we were unsure.  Some in NS, some going in, some may be relocating and our hobbies would change and so too our life in the near future. None said so but we knew it and we just wanted to be there for that one moment in history.  I remembered most names of the people who were there that night from dusk to dawn.
