Maldives became the 93rd country to have visited my blog. Cheers! Talking about cheers, people tend to equate that with clinking of glasses and then having a tipper. It is a way to relax like just having a beer. Beer is a social lubricant and lately there have been reports that having a beer or two each day can be good for health. Definitely not binge drinking. Maybe it's a guy thing when they say "Let's have one more then we'll go." Doctors need to be careful telling their patients that one or two glasses is okay especially to older folks. Three old guys were walking. One guy said: "Windy, isn't it?" The second one said: "No, It's Thursday!" The third one said: "So am I, let's go get a beer." There was this 80 year old man who has just seen a doctor for a health check. A few days later, the doctor saw him with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. The doctor spoke to him: "You are doing really great. What'...

Saving Gaia

Image
What Is Saving Gaia? You must have heard about Saving Gaia but what does it means? The Gaia hypothesis is ecological and proposes that the biosphere and physical components of planet Earth are closely integrated forming a complex system that maintains and regulates climatic conditions on Earth. Gaia was named after the Greek supreme Goddess of Earth and the hypothesis viewed Earth as a single organism. Many actually regard it as a scientific theory since they believe it has passed predictive tests. It may sometimes be difficult for many to understand or believe and some may even point it out to be another hype or some industry's propaganda for creating a new business in recycling, green group going on hyper gear, or vegan groups on a propaganda. This is very true when each day you read about scientists, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, nutritionists all having different claims with every new reports contradicting the other such that it i...

Bring It On!

February is an important month as the Lunar New Year mostly falls on this month and it is Spring, a time for regrowth, renewal and where life gets ignited again. I was born in this month and in fact my Chinese birth date was smacked right during the Lunar New Year. Therefore, I must lead by example and feel the power surging through to get going. I must try something different to feel alive. So I had two dressed rehearsals and in trying to snuffed out the candles I used a series of one inch punches made famous by Bruce Lee to douse the flame instead of blowing. I succeeded but my movements were to fast for the cameras so next time I must slow down for the camera. Some people tried using both palms to do so but they could not. Speed of punches are like your swing speed in golf. Now you know I'm mad. Are you 100% sane? Don't take yourself too seriously. Sometimes we may strangle one another or knock our heads but that...

BB's The Bungy Bar

Image
There are bars and there are bars. Some have themes that attract crowds which come and go. I remember Peppermint Park and Atlantis. Lavish skyline filled with stars and underwater theme respectively. There used to be Studio M, Ridley's, Subway, etc. Good live bands can be interesting and niche clubs are places to see and to be seen. Been there done that. Check. Not every gimmick lasts. Few do. Those who know the Yard knew they have been around. Sometimes, maybe you just wanted a place to meet, to talk and to have good beers to chill out with good friends. Maybe you are a tourist and you wanted to experience several things at the same time then this is the place to be. B.B.'s The Bungy Bar. You can say the Best Bar or the Best Beer too. Where the happening place used to be at Boat Quay, Clarke Quay is now the more happening and Bungy Bar lies smack right in the corner where the Q-Max Reverse Bungy is. Many...
