Bruce Lee Part 6 - Incredible Feats & Death

Pound For Pound Pound for pound Bruce Lee was the most powerful man in the world. Those who trained and sparred with him firmly believed. His feats of strength was unbelievable. From one handed chin-ups to one handed push ups using only one finger and his thumb, Bruce could also lift a 75 pounds dumb bell stretching his hand in front of him with his elbows locked for some seconds. Next time at the gym, try it. See if you can handle half of that and you will know what I mean. The strength that he could generate is frightening as he could send men who outweighed him by a hundred pounds flying 6-15 feet with an one-inch punch or a kick and he only weighed between 125-145 pounds. He could thrust his fingers through full cans of Coca Cola or with a simple kick sent a 200-pound sandbag flying into the ceiling. When the Chinatown elders sent their best fighter to challenge Bruce, Bruce won but he found that he used up too much energy and that the fight lasted longer than he had want

Bruce Lee Part 5 - Training & Other Key People

Training http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf12iowNH38 The practitioner should be balanced at all times so that he can maximise his stability and mobility. The practitioner must developed conditioning so that his legs do not give up under strenuous pressure. In the old days, training of Chinese martial artists were conservative as they believe weight training would slow them down but Bruce was innovative as he found a way to combine by using heavy weight at low repetition and then reduced weight at increased repetition. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmSiS5SWXks Training at home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAy6bKRdED8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GGiQCoHMxE&feature=related This way he built muscles and developed power without losing speed. Wing Chun training provides the practitioner to train with individual or group of muscles then coordinates by involving other muscles and Bruce mastered these techniques. Many folks do not understand or got impatient with

Another One Bites The Dust Another one bites the dust, Freddy Mercury and Queen sang that. "Women No Enough?" "I Stupid!" "Just Blindly Follow Lor". These could be titles of new movies. Hope it was just a publicity stunt but it seems futile. While people from previous generations felt too much shame until they even refused help for things they should not feel ashamed of till now where people just don't feel no shame. They take naked pictures of themselves and post them on their phones, computers, face book and wherever. The paparazzi are everywhere too, in fact, all people are part of the paparazzi now so be careful when you stop your vehicle at the red light and start digging your nostrils or sat, fell asleep and start drooling on a train, you could find yourself in Stomp or YouTube with accompanying music to go along watched by the whole wide world. I couldn't understand the press conference by Jack Neo except perhaps for PR and damage con

Bruce Lee Part 1 - A Legend Remembered

I have been working for donkey years and the curtains of 2010 is coming to a close. A s you know when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. So I being the tough one has to get going. Even gurus need their breaks. When I break I mean it so there will be absolutely no work, no email, no sms, no phone calls, no stress, no golf, no writing. It will be a complete meltdown. I need to just rot and rot big time. I am going to be like water. Bruce Lee : "Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless like water. Now you put water into a cup it becomes a cup. You put water into a bottle it becomes a bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzLhiWd9Efw As such there will be no articles on my blog this week. However, fortunately or unfortunately, the date of the week coincide with one of my all-time favourite icons Bruce Lee who was born on 27 November 1940. Today he would have
