Irodori Japanese Restaurant

Image
I read somewhere that Irodori is one of the top five Japanese buffet restaurants in Singapore. It must be good since Kitaro ate here before as I saw his photos on the wall. They have a wide selection of ala carte menu with fresh seafood from New Zeland, Australia and Norway. You can have the usual suspects like maguro, hamachi, etc. but you must have the Ebi Mentai Mayo.  Irodori means colourful or an assortment of colours. With their price tag that comes with further discounts, the quality of food simply means value for money and bang for your bucks. Naturally you can expect a good crowd there. Ebi Mentai Mayo is a must try that is why they give you only once. Go ahead, prawns do not give you more cholesterol than lobsters or crabs. Those of you who love Shishamo would be drooling. Kuishin-bo Japanese Buffet

Let the feasting begins..... Its not even Christmas yet but family has to come together. My wonderful sister brought us all to Kuishin Bo for lunch at Suntec City. I only had these few slices actually. The maguro was good. Skinny dipping! The soup wasn't for me. I am not a fan of sweet tasting soup. Angus beef if you like. I do not know what you call it but its toppings were lobster. The Dragon Roll was yummy. I am a big fan of noodles, all kinds of noodles. The Chasoba (not char sio bak) was awesome. I maybe biased but it was really good. Then I struck gold and discovered salmon...

Return To Shin Minori

The best Japanese food are flown in fresh on certain days of the week, the fishes fly business class and if you know the chefs, have wads of cash endlessly, you can then go enjoy yourselves. So how about buffets and in this case Japanese buffets or for that matter, any other food? I do not eat much so it is the variety and choice that is kind of convenient. So after awhile, I have to return to Shin Minori. You get to check the quality and know if the food is consistent. You should do that to all the food places. I wrote an article during my first visit there (please see link) and have since visited with family, friends and colleagues fairly regularly. http://gforce-guru.blogspot.sg/2011/02/japanese-buffet.html We sat near the window well decorated for Christmas. Just go through the list - Sashimi, Tempura, Sushi, whatever. Check out the serving size and then tick in the appropriate boxes and the food will be served to you. If you want more of it again later, just ...
