Irodori Japanese Restaurant

I read somewhere that Irodori is one of the top five Japanese buffet restaurants in Singapore. It must be good since Kitaro ate here before as I saw his photos on the wall.

They have a wide selection of ala carte menu with fresh seafood from New Zeland, Australia and Norway. You can have the usual suspects like maguro, hamachi, etc. but you must have the Ebi Mentai Mayo.

Irodori means colourful or an assortment of colours.

With their price tag that comes with further discounts, the quality of food simply means value for money and bang for your bucks.

Naturally you can expect a good crowd there.

Ebi Mentai Mayo is a must try that is why they give you only once. Go ahead, prawns do not give you more cholesterol than lobsters or crabs.

Those of you who love Shishamo would be drooling. It resembles a willow leaf and is also called willow leaf fish. It is usually grilled or fried whole with the roe intact.

Obviously Tempura to go along, needless to say.

Takoyaki or fried octopus balls if you like sotong.

I supposed once you have the acquired taste you will never get enough of these.

I have an affinity for hand rolls, this time it is soft shell crab.

And their signature special green tea tofu.

More shashimi is normal for me.

Tonkatsu, a deep-fried breaded pork drenched in tonkatsu sauce is another favourite.

If too much raw food is not what you want, a Teriyaki Salmon would be an obviously good choice.

They do very good beef too!

Agedashi tofu is another healthy choice.

Their Chicken Koraage is power packed.

It was a day well spent with the big family with good food!
