The sunrise and sunset are most glorious but how many of you have seen one and when was the last time you have seen one? No? They happened everyday in case you have forgotten! However, capturing a perfect sunrise or sunset is a bane for photographers in case of rain or on cloudy days. More often than not, you won't get a good one. In the old days, when single and carefree, we do not need to observe time. We would hire a beach buggy jeep for $20 a day, grab a map and search for waterfalls. We go where the wind blows. We would retire late and drink at the beach bar. Sometimes, we got too tired and slept more the next day. On other days when we got up early, we would play beach soccer with the hotel staffs. Boat Out At Sea A whole day out at sea on a boat trip can be an exhilarating experience - you either love it or loathe it. There are boats and there can be boats so what is the difference? Depends. If you are the commando or navy diver type alpha male you can take any kind of boats. I have travelled on small motor sampan at Mersing in the darkness of night to a kelong with no life jackets and I have gone on longtail motor sampan speed-boat at Pulau Tioman where you can get sea water splashed on your faces. The ride is more like a roller-coaster. Some months ago, a group of seasoned fishermen including Singaporeans were out on a boat meant for 20 people but they carried 40 pax. On the fateful stormy day with strong current the boat crashed and quite a few people died and some were injured. In a situation like that you won't even find enough life jackets if there were.
