Happy Lunar New Year! - Wisdom For February

Everyday when you read the newspapers, there are nothing but gloom from the first page screaming at you with headlines about stock market crashing, economy slowing down, plane crashes and terrorists. That is why I read the newspapers from the back page where they are all about sports and before you come to the front, there will be occasions where you may not have time to read it any more for what is new or what is news? A New Year even more than a new day lies before us anew. It is like fresh snow that are spotless. Be careful how we tread on it because every mark you make will show. The year is still ahead of us therefore, it is up to us to fill it up with joy and all things good and share the happiness with loved ones and friends. Leaders everywhere  of nations or organisations and families should lead us to peace not war, love not hate. Our hearts and minds must be filled with thoughts for others not self.  There will be times where we need courage and strength to shou

EPL 2014/15 Game Week 23

What a week! A thoroughly enjoyable EPL week in Game Week 22. Liverpool continued their unbeaten and winning streak, Alan Pardew enjoyed another miracle with Palace, Man Utd looked forlorn and yet won, Chelsea convinced us they are now almost a perfect steam-roller machine, Southampton continued to amazed, West ham showed two faces in each half and finally Arsenal gave us a master-class performance having City beaten at the Etihad. Woah! Hull v Newcastle - The Tigers have lost their claws and teeth. Three losses after a surprise win over Everton is of no help and they are just a game away from being right at the bottom if the bottom two did a little better. Fortunately they are meeting the Magpies with clipped wings sharing an identical three losses. Hull have not scored a single goal in three matches. When Newcastle lost to Southampton they did not looked as bad as when Hull got thrashed by West Ham.The last time Hull hosted Newcastle, they lost. 1-2 . Palace v Everton - You

Blaise Pascal

Blaise Pascal was a French inventor, mathematician, writer and philosopher.  As a teenager, he pioneered work in calculating machines making him one of the first two inventors of the mechanical calculator. Unfortunately, he had poor health and died at age 39. Wonder how much more great things he could have done had he lived longer. Like many writers, Pascal was a philosopher. Or is it like many philosophers Pascal was a writer. He has his brainy quotes which should be shared: "Noble deeds that are concealed are most esteemed." "Small minds are concerned with the extraordinary, great minds with the ordinary."  "Belief is a wise wager. Granted that faith cannot be proved, what harm will come to you if you gamble on its truth and it proves false? If you gain, you gain all; if you lose you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation, that He exists." "Kind words do not cost much yet they accomplish much." "Man's gr

Bangkok Food Trail - 3

Continued..... from..... http://gforce-guru.blogspot.sg/2015/01/bangkok-food-trail-1.html http://gforce-guru.blogspot.sg/2015/01/bangkok-food-trail-2.html All good things must come to an end. A couple of friends told me that I have to come here and it is just so near the hotel. I walked here and there but did not pass through here and finally. More than relaxing in one corner. A funny thing about city folks - they like new fads. They like to queue for new things. I was walking along when I saw a queue for dessert even before the shop was opened. The street that leads to MBK closed to traffic. Some big event happening later. I got myself a few pairs of bermudas just passing by. Is that a Japanese or Thai cat? An entire Hello Kitty shop that may excite some people.  But this was more exciting. Again people in queue before it opened. It's everything mango. Mango Tango  They serve you anything in their concoction with mango. We

RSi 1 Irons

This Christmas I made a lot of people happy, at least four very happy people. I am good at that because I am in the Maritime industry (pronounced Merry Time). First I sold my Mizuno irons which are about a year old   to a friend . You cold hardly find such quality used clubs at used clubs shops or even on line. Most maybe 3-year old or more. I sold them at a friendship price. I made one person happy. Then I sold the other set of Callaway irons to another friend at a friendship price too. Listen to your mother, she must have told you not to mix with wrong people. Ah, the price of friendship. This set is also at most a year old. The best part is I was having 3 sets so I used them only a third of the time for all sets! I made another person happy. He was so happy that a week later, he was still smiling for no reason.  Next, I made the wifey happy. If you think that only secret agents got bugged you are wrong. I have been bugged for clogging the store room and
