There are bars and there are bars. Some have themes that attract crowds which come and go. I remember Peppermint Park and Atlantis. Lavish skyline filled with stars and underwater theme respectively. There used to be Studio M, Ridley's, Subway, etc. Good live bands can be interesting and niche clubs are places to see and to be seen. Been there done that. Check. Not every gimmick lasts. Few do. Those who know the Yard knew they have been around. Sometimes, maybe you just wanted a place to meet, to talk and to have good beers to chill out with good friends.
