Charity Weekend And Flea Market

I certainly hope the slogan shall come to fruition in our beloved SG and I like the word "Loving". Loving means being affectionate, expressing love or kindness. Love and kindness are actually very big words that are expressed in thoughts, words and action. It is simple and yet difficult and often may not be compatible with modern busy lives.

There was a time we used to golf where there were no losers because all winnings go to the ST School Pocket Fund.

This time it was different as our son volunteered.

We came by to show our approval and thumbs up for him and  his friends!

Besides, you get to play with Lego toys. Planting one at the stadium and bringing home another.

Then I went down to a Flea Market as I saw an old friend posting it on facebook but we were caught in a thunder storm just earlier.

We came to the very nice "Wheels And Wieners" at 25-A Perak Road.

Here to sepcially meet an old friend Jose, who was there for some charitable works.

There were all kinds of everything as you would expect from a flea market. Why is a flea market called a flea market? Well, it emanated from a suburb near Paris, France where the open air bazaar has vendors trading and peddling used furniture, clothing and other household items where some of these items actually have fleas in them.

We should actually now call it the "Flealess Market" don't you think? Jose was there to sell off his luggage loads of music CDs to raise funds for an orphanage in Indonesia. I have seen him helping to build orphanages and am impressed.

Next time, I hope to find out earlier and in advance so that I can inform more people and perhaps I too can go dig out the many movies VCDs, DVDs and music CDs.
