EPL Game Week 35

Ashley Young did it again. Twice in a row fooling two referees. A slight nudge and he went flying. It's Forever Young. He may win a medal in diving at the London Olympics. Referees are in the spot light lately and it was shocking to see the referee giving a goal that never crossed the line for Chelsea who beat Tottenham in the FA Cup semi. Decision for goal line technology need speeding up. Man U fans should be playing this from Alphaville:

Arsenal v Chelsea - The surprise package in recent weeks has to be Wigan. After they shocked Man Utd 1-0 they went to the Emirates and had Arsenal beaten 1-2. Meantime, Chelsea kept growing from strength to strength and dispatched Tottenham 5-1 in the FA Cup semi. I think they will cancel each other. Both are equal as Arsenal seek to recover from the shock Wigan defeat while Chelsea shall be weary after that battle with Barcelona achieving an unlikely 1-0 win but this is London derby. Chelsea has shown that you may not match Barcelona but they can be beaten. Di Matteo's stock is rising. 2-2.

Villa v Sunderland - Villa was bashed into submission by Man Utd. four times without reply. Villa, the draw specialist are at home but Sunderland could not overcome Wolves. A draw all over.1-1.

Blackburn v Norwich - Blackburn was resurgent with two wins but suddenly found themselves sinking in quick sand again and the 3-0 trouncing by Swansea was detrimental. Norwich was subdued and thrashed 1-6 by Man City. Blackburn has a chance to grab points but probably a point. 2-2.

Bolton v Swansea - Swansea and Norwich took turns with their fortune. One up and the other down. Swansea is back up after a convincing win over Blackburn while their opponent has gone down twice after three wins in a row. Swansea could ace this one if they can summon the same form of last week. 1-2.

Fulham v Wigan - Fulham has been doing well and American Clinton Dempsey is undoubtedly the star with 22 goals this season. There is rumour of him leaving to a European club. This could endanger Fulham as well as himself. Meanwhile, Wigan is on song after winning Liverpool away so we thought Liverpool was bad and then they went on to beat Man Utd at home and finally Arsenal away. What an amazingly feat!! They are safer now. They do not need to go for a win being an away game and if they had beaten those three what is Fulham right? Wrong, it will be a draw. 1-1.

Newcastle v Stoke - The Magpies is on five straight wins that propelled them level on points with Tottenham. Cisse can't stop scoring, if Ba rediscover his scoring,Newcastle would be unstoppable if they are not already. With this form and confidence, Stoke will not trouble them when visiting. 2-0.

QPR v Tottenham - QPR are on a one win one loss basis after famous wins over Liverpool and Arsenal. Only Wolves has been in worse form than Tottenham who has been faltering and losing valuable points in recent memory. Besides, this is a London derby. In terms of probability, QPR is due a loss while Tottenham is due a win. 1-2.

Man Utd v Everton - Everton is doing better than their red neighbour and can be a match for anyone. Jelavic has been a revelation, a target that Liverpool missed under their radar. A potential banana skin as Everton can surprise. 1-1.

Liverpool v WBA - Slated to meet Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, they are on target for a Cup double. WBA is no easy meat but Liverpool must start winning these games. Andy Carroll to score again. 2-1.

Wolves v Man City - If Norwich got thrashed 1-6 at home by City, what hope does Wolves have? Wolves has not much to play for except pride but City still has a glimmer of hope but it will not add up and total 0-7. I say 0-3 to City.

Villa v Bolton - Bolton just need to outrun the other guys like QPR and Blackburn and no need to outrun the bear but I fear for them as after winning twice they lost four in a row. Villa has luxury of another home game. 2-1.

Old Golden Balls still has it going. Someone should bring Beckham back. He doesn't need the money. I'm not talking EPL. He should play in the S-League. Sign him for Hougang United. Bill Ng, are you listening?

Do it like Beckham!
