EPL Game Week 25

Manchester United extended their lead by seven points after gutsy QPR surprised Manchester City 0-0. Chelsea did not help themselves when they got cancelled out by Reading, ditto for Tottenham. Everton made a jump with their win over WBA and remained the best value-for-money team while Arsenal and Liverpool played out a pulsating match but having just a point each. What's up for Game Week 25

QPR v Norwich - QPR is unbeaten for four League matches. They are just four points behind three teams. Norwich form has dropped so drastically that they haven't won in the last seven league matches. In their three previous meetings, they have won 2-1 each and drew 1-1 the other time. Norwich aren't great travellers and QPR have been rather solid. Think 0-0 with Man City in their last match. A win for QPR is not unthinkable. 2-1.

Arsenal v Stoke - We all know Arsenal and they just came from behind to hold a resurgent Liverpool while Stoke have been languishing without a win in five matches and conceding 15 goals in these 5 matches! Before all this I would pick a draw but I'll now have to go a Arsenal win what with Theo Walcott in such fine scoring form. 3-1.

Everton v Villa - This will be a mismatch of sorts. Everton are like consummate pros and at home at Goodison Park. Villa haven't won in eight matches and exited all cup games after being dumped by teams from lower divisions. If this is not trouble, what is? In previous five outings, they drew thrice and won one apiece but that was long ago where Everton was weaker and Villa stronger. Time for Fellani to score. 2-0.

Newcastle v Chelsea - The Magpies halted their rapid decline beating Villa 1-2 away after buying half of France. Animal lovers may be protesting at Tyneside over foie gras while the Toon Army celebrate but should not get carried away as it was only Villa they had beaten but it may be a good time to play Chelsea as they have drawn three times in three matches in the CCup, FA Cup and EPL. Chelsea can't afford to drop more points but they could as the French revolution at St. James Park is to be unveiled. Magpies are great imitators of other birds. Give Alan Pardew a break. 2-2.

Reading v Sunderland - Reading won twice and drew Chelsea in their last three matches. These are brilliant results and is a more accurate reflection of their performance confirming they have learned how to play in the Premier League. Sunderland is undefeated in three matches. Last time they met Sunderland won 3-0. I think it is payback time for Reading. 3-2.

West Ham v Swansea - The Hammers have not won in four outings and in their last two matches conceded 8 goals. Swansea are drawing too often. Michu needs to score every week once again to reignite the Swans. Last they met Swansea triumphed 3-0. West Ham have been poor and seemed to have lost their style and swagger. Swansea to win. 1-2.

Wigan v Southampton - In their last meeting, Wigan won 2-0 but their fortunes have since changed. The Saints have been unbeaten in 9 games. 17 year old defender Luke Shaw who has been brilliant for the Saints has been called to the under-21 squad. I do fancy a Southampton win though a draw is equally likely. 2-3.

Fulham v Man Utd - The Cottagers lost 1-4 to Man Utd in the F.A. Cup but now they are at Creven Cottage. As far as their last five meetings were concerned, they have never beaten Utd. and in the process conceded 15 goals. This is not good news. There is nothing to add to the visitors that you don't already know. 1-3.

WBA v Tottenham - WBA have not tasted victory in 7 attempts. In their 5 previous match up, there were 3 draws and 2 Spurs wins. Tottenham can be breath taking but their form seemed to have taken a beating having not won in 4 matches. All things being equal with both not in great form, Tottenham have more in store. 1-2.

Man City v Liverpool - Both teams would admittedly hate to face each other in this encounter. City who are very good showed that they can be quite ordinary while Liverpool mostly quite bad displayed that they can have thunder and lightning. Already 7 points adrift from Utd they can't afford to drop any more points especially at home. In 5 previous matches, they drew 3 times and won one apiece. 2-2.

Have a happy EPL weekend!
