Despite showing it before, some folks do not believe that a golf ball is compressed when hit especially with a driver. Maybe yours don't because you hit it like a sissy or a wimp! Or maybe you see those obstacles around the course and you freeze and the wrong ball got compressed.

Obstacles in golf courses just as in life are frightening things that you see when you take your eyes off the target.

Advanced technology is being applied to all and sundry. Golf clubs are not spared. From drivers, woods, hybrids, irons, wedges to putters, many things are happening relentlessly. It is not just like a flowing river but more like flowing on rapids. I was telling people at one point that one day they are going to tell you that by adjusting the studs on their shoes they could fancy playing a better draw or fade just like the club technology and true enough it has happened. Just like people who ask me why don't I change my car to a Beemer or Benz and I used to tell them that I would love to but they don't do hatch backs but now they do I have to think of other excuses because telling them you can't afford it won't work. What Ball?

Depending on your proficiency, choose the correct ball for your game. In today's technological advancement, Bridgestone can even give you ball-fitting. You may think this is all bull or no shit and how do they fit you. They will have to measure to find out details on your swing speed, ball speed, launch angle and spin rate and from here on what is suitable for your game.

Newbies need not think except get used balls as you are going to fill up the ponds and jungles. If you play near the sea, you are merely helping to reclaim land. If you are always doing Pro V and feeling broke but do not wish to miss out on the superior feel, distance, performance and added durability this would be a very good choice. The Kallang Roar! (Part Three)

Back in the good old days, we have four other national teams. Besides the National Team (The Lions), we also have a B team (The Cubs). Then we also competed in the Sultan's Gold Cup fielding a team called Singapore Malays. We have the Singapore Indians playing in the Bardhan Cup and the other being the Singapore Chinese team also competing aga inst Malaysian state teams in the same format and also the Ho Ho Cup triangular among Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. In 1976, Englishman Trevor Hartley became responsible for the Singapore team at age 28. The Hainanese

The Hainanese are people from Hainan who originated from Hainan Island - the smallest province of China at the Southern most tip. They were originally fishermen from Fujian and Guandong and later settled over there. The Hainanese, part of the Chinese dispora migrated to different South East Asian countries including late comers to Singapore worked in ships as sailors, opened their own coffee shops or restaurants, bakeries or bars and worked as cooks and chefs and others at local hotels.  Hainanese in Singapore made up 7% of the Chinese population. The Hainanese came to Singapore much later than the Hokkiens and Teochews who are already well entrenched in trade and commerce.
