EPL Game Week 9

When you know your soccer, do not bet for you shall surely loose. Anyway, whatever you bet on, you will loose.

Wolves v Swansea - Wolves had a great start to the new campaign but now they seems wobbly. Swansea is finding out fast that it is not easy succumbing 1-3 to Norwich away. Wolves must ace this one at the Molineux. 2-1.

Villa v WBA - Can Villa bounce back at home after the hiding at the City of Manchester stadium (1-4)? Facing WBA who has not been back but with the results against them and just gotten a win over Wovles (2-0) puts more of a poser. 2-2.

Bolton v Sunderland - When all hopes were lost, Bolton rose from the proverbial ashes like a Phoenix and won away to Wigan (3-1). Is this the beginning of their resurgence? Larsson again scored a great free-kick goal for Sunderland but it was not enough to outdo Robbie van Persie who scored an equally impressive free-kick winning goal to condemned Sunderland. 1-1.

Newcastle v Wigan - Where once everybody can hope to get a result against the Magpies, this is one trip Wigan will not relish. They are doing something right. If you saw how they had twice came back from the dead against Spurs you know they are going to have a great season. They are still unbeaten and are winning games. Ba is having a ball of a time and shall continue his hot streak. 3-1.

Liverpool v Norwich - Liverpool should have buried Man Utd. They were too conservative and paid too much respect to their opponents after taking the lead. It showed Liverpool can play and this match with Norwich having beaten Swansea convincingly (3-1) will determine if Liverpool can sustain it. You may mix it with the big boys but it is games like this you must win to be champions. 2-0.

Arsenal v Stoke - Arsenal more often than not struggle with Stoke for Stoke is not an easy team to play. After the horrid start, has Arsenal turned the corner? That important win over Sunderland? The Gunners followed that up with an important mid-week 1-0 win over Marseilles away and you know that Marseilles is no minced meat. Stoke had comfortably beaten Fulham 2-0. An Arsenal win is crucial to instill confidence and belief. 2-1.

Fulham v Everton - Fulham is a decent team that plays well at home. David Moyes is a fine manager in an average team at Goodison Park. I do not think the soccer will be very interesting so both teams could grind out a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United v Manchester City - Wow! The top two teams and a local derby. It could be a cracking game. These two could be champion at the end of the season but United had shown signs of slowing down after a fantastic start while City have been successfully making all the noises at their more famous neighbour. Hoe Hart and David De Gea will play significant roles at goal while Vincent Kompany holds the key in holding up Rooney, Young and Nani. At the other end, young and very promising Phil Jones or Ferdinand and Vidic to hold the fort against the onslaught of Aguero, Dzeko and Balotelli. If I were Mancini I might consider fielding all three strikers in a 4-4-3 to pin United back. Hold you breath! 2-2.

Blackburn v Tottenham - At the moment, Tottenham seems like they have taklen off where they left off at the end of last season where I thought they were the best team. I think they are a very exciting team under Harry Redknapp and could score against anyone. It may be difficult for Blackburn to hold back the marauding Spurs. Modric, Defoe, van Der Vart, Bale and gang will triumph. 0-2.

QPR v Chelsea - Besides Spurs, the other team you do not want to face is Chelsea because Drogba is back and scoring and Fernando Torres looks really so good again before his suspension. 1-3.
