Inner Peace 5 - Attack of The Clones

If you are vain enough or think highly enough of yourself, would you clone yourself?

Your Mind & Wisdom

Your world is entirely what you choose to make it, whether one live a life of despair devoid of hope or one that scale heights of success, the choice is entirely yours. When you are positive refusing anything negative to enter your mind, you unleash a powerful force to achieve a fulfilling life - love, friendship, health and victorious life. If you continue to do exactly the same things, you get the same results in life.

When you control your mind, you take charge of your life. You can control your desires, thoughts, emotions and feelings towards a direction you choose. You could channel your energy and time in pursuits of excellence in certain useful things or fritter your time away in fruitless activities. Everyone has 24 hours a day and since your mind belongs to you, you may choose to do things with a constructive purpose or you use it for futile, useless, energy sapping and mind draining arguments just to pick a quarrel for example a spirited intellectual dabate where everyone learns something vs a petty argument to make yourself look important.

When you engage in discussions, debate concepts, etc. you are pitting your knowledge and allowing interaction with another person, especially a thinking positive person which will empower both parties to gain greater knowledge.

Conversely, allowing yourself to be dragged into any insignificant arguments dulls both minds, dampen spirits and bring about negative results.

The mind is a man's most powerful weapon. It cannot concede control to another force however powerful and formidable it may be. Tyrants will try their utmost to control those who oppose them but the power of the mind is far more formidable and powerful than the threats. As Victor Hugo said, "An invasion of armies can be resisted, but not an idea whose time has come." Wisdom has got nothing to do with age and it is not necessary that you get wiser as you grow older. It is only so when you have learned life's lessons.

We do not have all the time in the world nor the threshold for pain to make all the mistakes ourselves so if we could learn from others to avoid the penalties. Wisdom comes form self-reflection and taking care of your mind and this is indeed a solitary process which you must give the effort and spend the time for such insights. Do not be fooled by those who further their own interests by pretending to help you. Listen to advice but make up your own mind.

Napoleon Hill likes to tell a story about his grandfather who was a wagon builder in North Carolina. He always left a few oak trees in the middle of the field unprotected by other trees at the mercy of the elements when he cleared land for cultivation. From those trees, his grandfather made the wagon"s wheels because they were forced to struggle against nature's fury, they grew to be very strong and could bear the heaviest load.

Therefore, the stronger the wind, the mightier the oak. Be like that oak tree. Tribulation produces perseverence which in turn builds character and leads to hope. Then whatever the circumstances you can choose joy. To change the world you got to change yourself, from the inside out (like a golf swing). Being with yourself.

Challenges force us to expand our mind in search of answers and solutions. When moments in life seem at the bleakest, take solace, a quantum solace that you are going through a process of strengthening yourself and through the struggles we become even more prepared. Your mind is your most valuable possession, not your money or others. Even if you were to loose all your material things you own, the knowledge that you have could never be taken away from you.

With that you can restart your life, gain a new fortune, build a new home or buy anything. Nobody can control your thoughts not even tyrants could make your mind accept things that your mind refuse. Cookie mogul Wally Amos quoted: "The mind is like a parachute. It functions best when opened." When our mind is open and objective, it would refuse to allow personal biases to cloud your judgement.

You could also discern and perceived truths overlooked by others. Conversely, a closed mind can only ensure you miss out of life's great things. Why do some people dispute facts or revised and change them to suit themselves? The worst thing a person can do is to persuade himself to accept a false truth. It is not right to fool or trick others, but to fool yourself is the ultimate disaster.

Habits

Napoleon Hill says - Habits are formed so slowly that most of us don’t realize what is happening until the habits are too strongly entrenched to be broken. Seldom can one pattern of behaviour be eliminated without replacing it with another. It has been said that nature abhors a vacuum and will always find something to fill a void. The best way to thin out the "weeds," or faults in your character, is to identify those traits with which you are dissatisfied and replace them with their positive counterparts. If you have a tendency to lose your temper, for example, find a replacement for your anger. Neutralize it with a positive expression or affirmation such as, No one can make me angry unless I let them. I will not let anyone else control my emotions.

Attitude

Attitude is everything. It is all you need for the rest to fall into place. When I look for a staff, attitude is the thing I would look out for. When you have the right attitude, you get along with others, you will show initiative and responsibility and you will do the right things. I will not engage someone until I am quite sure about his/her attitude and I will know when dealing with others what kind of attitude they possess by the way of their utterances and the quality of their arguments or the substance they could muster. Attitude is such a simple thing and like common sense possessed by so few people that you can say is quite a rarity.

Tolerance

Napoleon Hill says - Why can we so easily overlook in ourselves the faults we are quick to spot in others? It is easy to be objective when it comes to criticizing our friends, family members, and business associates, but it is far more difficult to be honest about our own shortcomings.

Only when we recognize that we are all human, with the same faults and failings, do we begin to develop that wonderful quality of tolerance that enables us to accept others as they are and ask nothing in return. Replacing faultfinding with "goodfinding" is never easy.

But when you become one who always compliments instead of criticizes, you become the kind of friend we would all like to have.

Happiness, Gratitude and Contentment

Whenever you hurt yourself say a trip and fall, you inevitably say that you were unlucky and grumbled about your misfortune the whole day. Why didn't you feel grateful that you did not end up worse by going into the nearby drain or scarring your face? A thankful person enjoys a blessing twice - when it is received and when it is remembered. It is hard to be happy without being grateful.

Get to be grateful first and happiness will follow. Always be grateful and you'll be happy always for gratitude comes from contentment and contentment comes from the heart. Never be ungrateful especially to those who have helped you. There are those who hurt others and yet they could say that their conscience is clear. Being contented is not equal to being slag or complacent.

After all, a person only needs a bed to sleep on and three square meals a day to keep away the elements and to stay alive comfortably. We are living in a modern era where friendship and relationship is cheap. Take a look at Bhutan which has one of the world's lowest GDP and is one of the world's poorest nation but where the happiness is one of the highest simply because the people feel contented.

Now, looking at who we are, do we still want a clone of ourselves? Haven't we brought on enough destruction and misery? Or should we change ourselves and attack the clones? Change yourself and change the world.
