The Wedding Ring
Getting married is also known as settling down. It means you should be finally settled. Settling down in a city, in a job or settling down in your hobbies or the types of golf clubs, etc. are no small matter in particular the first two but settling down in life in the form of getting married is most entirely a different thing.
You must understand that getting married is unlike going into a restaurant. You looked at the menu, ordered what you wanted. They served your orders then you turned around and saw what the other guy ordered that you thought looked better and you wanted to change.
Others watched too much movies and got the notion of love at first sight and in the case of the vampires - love at first bite. You bumped into one another, she dropped her books, you helped her with to pick them up and gaze into each other. There was a spark. Then like fairy tales, they lived happily ever after. Nothing is farther than the truth. People got hoodwinked by "Hollywood" rather than be guided by the "Holy Word". The vampires and the werewolves are the good guys. Good guys are losers and those who cheat are smart. Portrayals get into our subconscious and they heightened expectations and change perceptions.
Having love alone is not enough. You need commitment. It is a choice to make. A commitment to be faithful, trustworthy, loyal and not to stray nor betray. These values are not just something you need to keep in a marriage but is also applicable in all relationship. If you are not prepared, stay out because after the engagement- ring comes the wedding-ring and then finally the suffe-ring. Ha ha, don't let me frighten you please. I also know of some people with nagging wives because men and women are so different. I also know of some guys who when nagged at by the wives are thinking quietly to themselves: "Angel of death, take me now".
Remember why you got married in the first place if you were already hitched. Rekindle. Do you know the meaning of and why the wedding ring is worn on the fourth finger?
The thumbs are you parents. Index finger are your siblings. The middle fingers represent yourself. The fourth finger represents your life partner. The little fingers are you children. Set both the palms of your hands facing one another. Join them together. While holding them together, use the fingertips of both middle fingers bend them downwards till the back of the fingers join at the knuckles.

You can move to separate the thumbs meaning that your parents will separate from you. You can separate your index fingers which means that your siblings will leave you as they have their own lives and the last fingers also meaning that your children will one day leave you but the fourth fingers cannot be separated which means you cannot be separated from your life partner. Soldiers have a saying that says "leave no man behind". The fireman's code is "Never leave your partner behind". What is your code? Watch:
