EPL Game Week 28

Fortunes in life has its twists and turns. Look at AVB and Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City. Arsenal and Liverpool. Eleven more matches to go and soon over. Time really flies.

Chelsea v WBA - While negating Man City in the first half, Chelsea did not looked like they were going to win but they are not a bad team overnight. They are breaking out to play a more attractive game and when there changes there will be birth pain. They no longer had that aura of invincibility under Jose Mourinho. This is not a good time for Chelsea to welcome a visitor who after not winning for quite sometime have bounced back to win 2-in-a-row including a 2-0 away to Liverpool. Steve Clarke faced injuries and suspension for the Baggies and have on-loan top scorer Romelu Lukaku ineligible to play against his parent club Chelsea. Rafa Benitez has problems and he need to take note that Chelsea's previous two managers Andre Villas-Boas and Roberto Di Matteo were both sacked after defeat by WBA. WBA won their last two meetings with Chelsea. With Frank Lampard searching for 3 more goals to be Chelsea's all time top scorer and home advantage Rafa's job is safe for now.  2-1.

Everton v Reading - Everton have lost 2 matches to Man Utd and then Norwich. Nothing wrong with how they played so that they bounce back. Like Everton, Reading have lost twice most surprising was their tame surrender at home to Wigan last week. Reading has the second worst defensive record to easy for Everton? Not so as in their last 2 meetings, Everton have lost. This time I feel Eveerton shall prevail. 3-2.

Man Utd v Norwich - Utd's record are impeccable. They often win, seldom draw and hardly lose. Norwich is back undefeated in 4 matches including a 2-1 over Everton. Both conquerors of Everton. Utd have been undefeated ion 15 EPL matches now but the mid-week clash with Real Madrid will loom large in Sir Alex's mind to rest key players as a precaution. After all they have points to buffer and have won all their home games this season. In the reverse meeting previously Norwich shocked Utd 1-0 but the Canaries are poor travellers. 2-0.

Southampton v QPR - The Saints are really not bad at all. They lost narrowly to Man Utd (1-2), held Wigan away (2-2), beat Man City (3-1) but lost to Newcastle (2-4). They scored 8 times. QPR was recovering well but then have now lost 2 matches. It is games like this that QPR must win to survive. Can they do a Magpie? There aren't a lot of matches left. As travellers I think QPR will play for a draw. 2-2.

Stoke v West Ham - Towards this part of the season Stoke have not been as resilient as earlier in the season. West Ham mirrored Stoke in terms of form and results. This will be a physical contest with lots of aerial bombardment with Peter Crouch at one end and Andy Carroll at the other. 1-1.

Sunderland v Fulham - In 4 matches Sunderland drew 1 and lost 3. Fulham is doing a bit better but away fro home Fulham aren't the same team. Berbatov scored a wonderful goal last time out  and could threaten but home advantage will cancel out the visitor. 1-1.

Swansea v Newcastle - Swansea are doing really fine and deservedly won the CCup. Newcastle are having their own revival with French flair injection. Watch Michu (Swansea) and Cisse and Sissoko (Newcastle). It should be a good game. 2-2.

Wigan v Liverpool - Wigan also have the second worst defensive record in the EPL but Liverpool never won there for some years now. Liverpool score and defend but they are not completely consistent. This being away it could end a draw. 1-1.

Tottenham v Arsenal - Tottenham is red hot and in scintillating form especially Gareth Bale. Arsenal are still dong okay not as good as before but doing fine. In 7 previous home matches against Arsenal Tottenham have lost only once but Arsenal are picking up the points again. Both are attacking teams that play the ball and both have committed the least fouls in the EPL. Tottenham lost both their last 2 meetings 2-5 but both were away. It will be a cracking game. 2-2.

Villa v Man City - City have lost too much ground and can't afford and more dropped points. Villa have the worst defensive record in the EPL and most conceded 2 goals. City have the best defensive record so what does it tell us? Their last meeting was 5-0 in favour of City. 0-2.
