Is Sexual Prowess Measure Of A Real Man?

When you watch or read Tiger Woods being introduced as the 15th best golfer in the world you would somehow feel strange. At one time, he was unbeatable. All records are waiting for him to break. Everyone who turns up just think of being second best. Not any more. Everyone would die to be living his life. Rich, famous, a beautiful wife and family. Playing golf all day and got paid for while most of us risk our lives doing it. Then Poof!! Sex and cheating.
Ashley Cole, probably Chelsea's and England's most consistent performer with a rich and beautiful wife in Cheryl Cole. The scandal was out for a similar issue. Anthony Weiner of New York denied and then later admitted that he sent sexually explicit photographs of himself to women over the Internet. Bill Clinton did something while at the Oval Office. Arnold Schwarzenegger had a child outside of marriage with his helper. First thing women asked me was why? Is the wife a lot more attractive? Um...why ask me ? I am not them.
When you thought that it has all died down, Ryan Giggs slalom his dribbles and scored a couple of own goals. In fact, I shall be kind to spare you the details what was written in the press if you have not read it. If what the press has reported were all true, he truly is one of the worst. What were all these men thinking? Does it mean that when it comes to sex, no man can think? No matter how intelligent, he can't think but just automatically acts. Must men seek female adulation or sexual conquest as a way of proving they have drive and ambition, ultra confidence and success? The need to feel as if he is the alpha male. Or simply that with more power comes lust?

What is the greatest value a man should have? Isn't it mastery of self? Can men resist sexual temptation? Can your intellect and will power control your bodily desires? Too much sex will actually weaken men. Look what happen to olden day emperors who has many concubines. They die early and young. Isn't it true that when a man indulged excessively in anything in whatever form such as sex, drinking, eating or simply sleeping equate to someone who failed to control and rule himself and should be considered unfit. Or do we have to wait till we become a bag of bones, a spent force or when the world around you crumbles that one will awaken?Do such a man feel that his masculinity challenged?
After reading and watching those before us, famous people or even friends having their families and careers destroyed and yet partake in certain activities meant that we have learned nothing form such episodes and scandals. Why do folks continue to be callous? Because it is in the nature of Man. Conquest appears to be a manly thing and so does aggression. Does loud equal to confidence or insecurity? Aggression means fear or fearless? To me loud and aggressive is equal to fear and insecurity for out of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Measure Of Man
So what is the measure of a man? Sexual prowess or restraint? Or are men and women perpetually in search of the fountain of youth that led us to behave thus. Such a notion can lead us to turn shame into pride. Who really are the real men? Those on a sexual conquest or those who despite the human nature worked hard to resist it in any form. Or are they viewed as sissies? I see it as like in courage. Quite often, the courageous man is not one without fears. The courageous man is one who acted courageously despite his fears.
Why do we read so often about employers who abused their maids and we still get more of the same things? Ditto sex scandals? What about gamblers who have lost more than their trousers? People who cheat? The answer is rather simple and there appears to be 2 reasons.
One - They think that other people could be stupid and got caught. They think that they know how to cover up better. They think that bad things only happen to other people. They could have also justified to themselves that their reasons are truly valid unlike the others.
Two - It is in the nature of man - to abuse and to cheat. It is in us and when our heart is at the wrong place, it happens quite easily. Some may be unaware that it can happen to them, others knew but at that moment in time was on top of the situation so they think cleverly they could get away with it. In both situation, those who indulged or are indulging do not have the wisdom to know the truth. They forgot that things of the past can come back like a ghost to haunt you.

Man is expected to be superior intellectually and dominate the animal kingdom and not challenge the animals physically or behave like animals. It must be a clear mandate to rule. It is always easy to justify to ourselves out of convenience or when it is advantageous. It is not about being careful simply because when you commit a dastardly act, you have already cede control out of your hands no matter what you do to keep it in check.

If you watch Discovery Channel, National Geographic or Animal Planet, you can observe how animals behave like the King of the Jungle - the lion. The male lion will lead his pride. Another male may challenge it for dominance and if it is older, it may lose the fight or worse gets injured. Once it lost the fight, the new male lion will take over as leader and lead the pride. He will then cruelly attack and kill all the cubs and mate with the lionesses. In the old days even during the Mayan times, humans do that too. The ancient Mayan tribe in Mexico chopped off heads and plucked out hearts as a form of sacrifice to their Sun God. There is therefore, no other way except to flee from temptation and temptation need not be in sexual form. It can come in disguise in any form. Wolf in sheep's clothing. The victory for Man therefore is to understand his own nature and show his superiority not in his sexual or other exuberant conquests but in the exercise of self control even in the most challenging and tempting situation and you probably will not understand why you need that control unless you get the big picture. So you can see from the above, the rich, the powerful and the successful even with the most beautiful wives still do such things even with less glamorous women. Why?
I can offer three reasons. One - men like to dominate but of course a few may like to be dominated. They like to dominate at the office, try to dominate in sports or at least brag about it. They like to think that they look good, can sing well and a few may think they are God's gift to women. That is why some people may cheat a the golf course. Two - Pride. Everyone has pride but it is to what degree. Some folks will keep their pride and rather lose everything including their souls. They may think that if they lose their trousers they still have their pride dangling. Three - Hobbies. They have no hobbies, only one hobby, enjoys only one thing or there is only one part in their body that can be stimulated.
Everybody wants to be the Emperor and rule the world but if you suddenly find yourself to be like Puyi, the last emperor you may end up as a gardener. It can come suddenly. So if you like to dominate, have quite a bit of pride and need a hobby, come join me on a golf course and we will settle it. At golf, you can sometimes dominate or self destruct, your pride can be intact or you will be humbled and you are picking up a lifetime hobby. All these temptations in life are like the traps at golf courses - water hazards, bunkers, Out of Bounds, jungles, trees, etc. I mean the well-raked bunkers can look very pretty or the water lovely but you don't want your balls to go there, to get in there, you get it?
