Serangoon Park Connector

Dear friends and readers, by the end of this week I will have more than the last count of 33 countries where people have visited my blog. The latest being from Iran, Latvia, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and the UAE. Welcome! This is simply amazing! Not me but blogging. The blogosphere and the Internet. What a wonderful way to share.

They say that music is life, do you agree? The moments in life that you remember will inevitably be associated with songs and music. Besides songs, pure music with lush orchestra in the background, jazz or new age - something inspirational can add on the mood whether you are at home relaxing on a couch with the air con on or while you are painting, writing or just taking a stroll at the park. I would like to introduce and ease you into the world of music with some great labels and absolutely fabulous artists. Let's begin with Narada Music and other multi-instrumentalist talents that will help bring you nearer to paradise as you take a walk in nature. Sometimes, you hear a piece of music, a song, a lovely tune and you simply embrace it as it tugs at your heart string but you could not find out the name of the song or the artiste. As you go along with me, perhaps you will find something and you will go..."gee, this is that piece of song or music that I have been searching for".

Listen to William Ellwood on Guitar - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mT-XHgHkFQ4

Kevin Kern - Sundial Dreams on piano

Here you see a twig suspended in mid-air but there was no attachment to anything and Spiderman or David Copperfield were not around. It reminded me of how our earth and the planets were suspended in space with absolutely nothing holding it, yet it rotates and revolves. Tilting nearer or further to or from the sun would be disastrous. Even right this moment, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, you may actually be upside down or leaning sideways but you see yourself and others around you upright and rooted to the ground. Amazing isn't it? Is there a God?

Tranquil look even as a highway crosses the river.

Those who flirted with kelongs and have gone fishing can identify with these barnacles that can really cut you up if you were not careful.

Still water runs deep. Is this a lost paradise?

Sample a lil bit of rock ballad from Styx's Boat On A River -

All you need is to see some humpback whales frolicking in the waters.

This is a tarantula but fret not, it will not be found here but trust me I have seen some really huge spiders that was black and yellow in the old Thomson School area near the old Police Academy.

We did not finish the last quarter of the walk as we were to adjourned for dinner so we came out to a display of a nation's pride in her birthday.

We were also hosting the World's first YOG or Youth Olympic Games.

Share with us other interesting trails you have taken.
More songs, more music will be coming this way. Till then...
