EPL 2014/15 - Game Week 25
Chelsea put on another clinical performance to secure what they had to do as Man City found themselves even further away 7 points to be exact as they were held at home by the supposedly toothless Tigers from Hull but the win of the day belonged to Tottenham as Hurrican Harry brushed all aside in his path, first Chelsea and now Arsenal knew not what hit them. The funny part was the Gunners actually defended decently.
If King Harry Kane continued to have his head screwed tightly on his shoulders he will be a big star for Spurs and England. Even Arsene Wenger in defeat said he should be quickly given a game by England otherwise someone else would.
The thing about Harry is that his game is simple - he does all the simple things extremely well and very effectively. He always want to get involved. He wants the responsibility and the ball. Everybody knows how he plays but they just could not stopped him. Even John Terry and Gary Cahill are still smarting from the experience. His first goal against Arsenal was opportunistic and his second was a stupendous header! Roy Hodgson watching in the stands must be rubbing his hands in glee right now.
Harry Kane is like what Bruce Lee called water. Water will find cracks and flow to where the cracks are. It can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.

Arsenal v Leicester - The Gunners played well defensively against Tottenham but could not stopped a certain Harry Kane but their home record against the Foxes read: W15, D6, L0 and if you factor in that Leicester lost at home to Palace you will know the mountain they have to climb. It is the the mountain per se but the pebble in your shoes. The Gunners will bounce back! 2-0.

Hull v Villa - Hull with four straight losses went to the Etihad and nearly got City beaten until James Milner scored with a brilliant free-kick to save their day. It was an impossible task! Current form gives the Tigers some hope but history suggests otherwise a they suffered four losses and drew once when the met previously. If one could hold City away shouldn't they now beat Aston Villa at home? No. I say it's a draw. It is the way they will both play. 1-1.
Sunderland v QPR - The Black Cats lost just once in their last five matches while QPR lost all five and are firm favourites to go down unless a miracle happens real quick. In the earlier stages, Loftus Road was a stronghold for QPR but not any more. They have been even poorer travellers. Home win. 2-1.

Liverpool v Tottenham - Harry Kane has destroyed Chelsea and Arsenal almost single-handedly. He is in such red hot form I wouldn't bet against him scoring at Anfield. Liverpool cannot stop him so I would expect Brendan Rodgers to find a way to curtail him by stopping the supplies to him. Liverpool have historical advantage in that in 20 matches played at Anfield, they have lost just once with a record that reads: W13, D6, L1 but Kane has been rewriting records. The Reds dominated Everton but could not find the net. Tottenham will want to avenge their last two years big losses. Question is can Spurs sustain their form? Remember just two matches ago they have lost to Leicester 1-2? Besides, Liverpool's game is different from that of the Gunners. It also depends largely if their most creative players Raheem Sterling, Coutinho and Adam Lallana are playing Draw. 1-1.

Man Utd v Burnley - Although Utd. hit a late equaliser at Upton Park and dominated the match they were not impressive. Of course Burnley pales in comparison. Since they met from 1975, Burnley only won once in 2009 from five matches. Burnley could score but know not how to hold on as proven in their 2-2 with WBA last week after leading 2-0. Burnley away record in 30 games read like a horror story - W2, D5, L23. Man Utd has been their own horror story but Utd fans should rest easy. They shall toil but yet win. 2-0.
Southampton v West Ham - Both teams are the best suppliers of English football. The Hammers have supplied some of the best talents to the England team and so do Southampton and they are doing surprising well these days. Last two times they have met ended with four goals each winning one apiece. This could possibly end with four goals too but it would be a draw with two goals apiece. 2-2.

Chelsea v Everton - Few teams can beat Chelsea unless you are Bradford City. They are unbeaten once again but Everton have become better and they have been unbeaten for awhile and actually played very well against Liverpool. They could give the home team a run for their money but it will take really something special for them to avoid defeat as in their last five fixtures Chelsea lost only once and won four. Mourinho is not going to drop points now. 2-1.

Stoke v Man City - Last August Stoke won at the Etihad and City have been dropping valuable points of late. With 14 matches to go they can't afford that especially when Chelsea are winning and Stoke are tough opponents who can always surprise. Another debacle and that would be bye bye. Expect City to go flat out here to get a result. 1-2.

Palace v Newcastle - Alan Pardew hosts the side that he used to coach. Somehow Palace responded well to his methods as the results flowed while the Magpies floundered. In five other old meetings, Palace never won and drew once having lost the rest. Only Pardew could mastermind a win for the home side and set a new record for Palace. Home win as Palace are scoring more goals than Newcastle. 2-1.
WBA v Swansea - The Baggies have a unique record at the Hawthorns. In 35 home matches, whenever they have kept a clean sheet they have won (7) and none when they have conceded (D14 L14). ROutledge and Dyer love scoring for Swansea against WBA so they must be fielded. The Swans are not at their best at the moment but they to Southampton and won. But it appears these two sides do not do draws. There is always the first time. Draw. 1-1.
