If I write about food, I write to help those who has passion in their food, quality, service, etc. I like to discover them so I go around searching at random, sometimes planned, whenever and wherever. I would have effectively link them to you because you need to eat or love to eat. This way I make two sets of people happy. They are very happy and thanked me for featuring and one stall told me that they place my blog link on their facebook page and had a thousand hits or two.

I am like the bridge that brings people and friends together. The glue that sticks and fastens. There exist in the world a myriad of things. Food, music, movies, drinks, sports, soccer, golf, hobbies, etc. When we talk about food, we are also talking about chefs and cooks but Singapore is facing a crunch on manpower and high rental which affect the most posh shop to the humblest stall holder. In F and B it is the worst hit I supposed. It is harder for a Chinese restaurant or food stall to operate like a Western fast food restaurant. Can you have a DIY Chinese restaurant? Unlikely as you may have to change generations and culture.

Singapore is a unique market for anything and a great test bed for all kinds of products. Where else in the world will you find Bentley (9) that outsold Mitsubishi (2), Maserati (6) that outsold Citroen (5), Ferrari (2) that outsold Renault (1), Jaguar (40) that outsold Daihatsu (4), Land Rover (30) that outsold Proton (3), Porsche (20) that outsold Peugeot (6), Mercedes Benz that (287) that outsold Chevrolet (26) and BMW (355) that outsold KIA (41). That was just last month and it goes beyond automobiles.

You have to find your niche, your market and jostle for your place. Reduce costs, increase productivity, etc. all these becoming bad words. Lately, you can see that many good and successful restaurants and food stalls are closing one by one due to higher rental, lack of service staffs and other workers and probably costs issues. You talk about productivity, cost savings and innovation. So it is like evolve or die. Let me show you an example of productive innovation:
