Talking ancient wisdom, we could also say Asian wisdom. We last got the great thoughts of Gandhi. What about this Chinese guy who was a revered teacher, politician and philosopher. He lived from 551-470 BC. He was a champion of strong family ties and loyalty, respect for elders. He believed family as a basis for ideal government. He espoused the Golden Rule: "Do not do to others what you do not want for yourself." Let us learn some Confucianism:

To know what you know and what you do not know, that is true knowledge.

When we see persons of worth, we should think of equalling them; When we see person"s of contrary character, we should turn in inwards and examine ourselves.

Instead of being concerned that you have no office, be concerned to think how you may fit yourself for office. Instead of being concerned that you are not known, seek to be worthy of being known.
