EPL 2019/20 - Game Week 15

They play soccer faster than I could write. Its Gegen-pressing. Game Week 15 had several surprises. City lost farther ground when they were held 2-2 by Newcastle and did you see that goal from Kevin De Bruyne? Crystal sprang a surprise at Burnley. Chelsea were stunned at home by West Ham despite their opposite form. Liverpool survived the loss of fabulous Fabinho with two superb Van Dijk headers but again failed to keep a clean sheet as Lewis Dunk scored with a quickly taken free-kick while Adrian (in to replace red-carded Allison) was still organising his defence. Spurs are the new Chelsea and took a 3-0 lead only to allow Bournemouth to score twice later with the resurgence of Dele Alli. Southampton's home win over Watford spelt the end of Sanchez Flores's short reign. Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantweel scored again finally to hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw. Freddy Lundberg could not improve over Unai Emery who was just sacked before that. Wolves shared the spoils at the Molineux with Sheffield United to maintain both their positions in 6th and 7th. Leicester is showing signs of their second coming with yet another win over Everton and of course Jamie Vardy got another to bring his season's tally to 13, 3 more than the closest at 10 goals. Manchester United were held 2-2 at home and what a goal by Jack Grealish leaving De Gea catching air. What a player as I have told you before the season started. So, let's do a quickie for game week 15 in mid-week games.

Game Week 15

Crystal Palace v Bournemouth - Palace are better away. Bournemouth could hit back. Both will score. 2-2.

Burnley v Manchester City - Burnley lost at home last weekend after two impressive wins. City are moody after dropping points at Newcastle and eleven points adrift from Liverpool. Expect a big response. 1-3.

Chelsea v Aston Villa - Chelsea have not won in their last 3 matches. Villa have not lost in two and played well to hold United. Chelsea should be back to winning ways. 2-1.

Leicester City v Watford - They are at different ends. Leicester will be too good not to win this. Morale is low at Watford. Liverpool will be wary of Leicester. Looks like Vardy can't stop scoring. 2-0.

Manchester United v Tottenham - Mouth-watering clash. No comfort for United at home. United have not won in three while Spurs are enjoying a revival with 3 wins in a row. 2-2.

Southampton v Norwich - Both teams are enjoying a win and a draw but still find themselves etched at the bottom. Looks like a draw. 2-2.

Wolves v West Ham - Wolves are undefeated in their last 6 matches with 3 wins and 3 draws. West Ham may have shocked Chelsea 1-0 away. Can they sustain that performance. Wolves to win. 2-1.

Liverpool v Everton - Mersyside derbies are tough ones. This will be at fortress Anfield. Liverpool are setting new records. It may be the last game in charge for Marco Silva so it will again be a tense affair. Liverpool to win. 2-1.

Sheffield United v Newcastle - Sheffield United are very good and could win most times and even hold either won against top teams. Newcastle just showed they could mix with the best at times as they held City 2-2 last weekend but this is a different type of game. 1-0.

Arsenal v Brighton - The Gunners have not won in 8 matches and Brighton have not won in 3 matches. Arsenal conceded 2 goals in their last 3 matches, Brighton 7. Could be high scoring win for Arsenal. 3-2.
