Manchester United have the easier games around Christmas while Tottenham has sacked AVB. Manchester City are in form, Chelsea are still around but not very exciting and Arsenal have a difficult run in. How will the table look like after Christmas and on Boxing Day and then after the New Year?  Was it AVB's fault for it was the agents, media and soccer clubs that cannot build and wait. The fact remains that AVB is a one season wonder at Porto and he followed the footsteps of a giant in Jose Mourinho in nationality and CV. Money cannot buy experience. There is no short cut. The quality of certain products can only be achieved after a long time treatment in the furnace. EPL was pure magic over the weekend. Manchester City 6 Arsenal 3 and Tottenham 0 Liverpool. Going into the Christmas period, table positions may just change. Man City was irrepressible, Arsenal lost twice in a row, Tottenham back to bad, Chelsea struggled and Liverpool was master class.  I' ll bring you the next games in Game Week 17 and later 18 and 19. Meanwhile in Europe, Man City drew Barcelona in the knock out phase, Man Utd got Olympiacos, Chelsea will meet Galatasaray and Arsenal drew Bayern Munich. City and Arsenal got no luck or do Barcelona and Bayern Munich worry about who they got this time?  Last week, there were some cheer for English players. We have just said farewell to one of the greatest human beings of our time if not the greatest - Mr. Nelson Mandela. What is there for me to say that have not been said? Nothing! All the superlatives were out there in the press. All world leaders were there to say their farewell and delivered their eulogy. Without being disrespectful to any one of them, how many can do what Nelson Mandela did? Nelson Mandela have his dignity taken away from him. Not just his but his family and his people. He suffered, lost his freedom, everything else and went to prison for 27 years for doing nothing wrong. Yet, when he was released, he sought no revenge, he did not plot against those that did him harm and grave injustice. He did not galvanised his people to hit back and there was a complete absence of hatred and he freely forgave. If you look at the World Cup Groups drawn recently, two groups immediately caught your eye. France who struggled to qualify yet did so magnificently leaving the Ukraine in agony has the easiest group.  Next England already devoid of a golden generation and looking ordinary got the worse luck. Uruguay was the previous World Cup semi-finalist and boast two of the world's finest strikers in Edison Cavani and Luis Suarez. Italy was the last World Cup's runners-up. The other team is Costa Rica. If you look at it this way, then England would be out. Their only advantage now is that they are low key and not expected to do much anyway and some still think that Roy Hodgson was a poor choice as manager. If I were Roy, I will take the opportunity to blood in more youngsters. Bring in the likes of Seamus Coleman and Ross Barkley of Everton. They will benefit greatly for future England teams. I was invited.  TaylorMade launched their new series of driver and fairway wood which they called "Jetspeed" at the Marina Bay Golf course's driving range.  I like TaylorMade's marketing pitch, media and technological savvy.  They create a buzz. They originally gave you drivers that comes in Neutral, Fade or Draw and later gave you a 3-in-1 driver so that you could do your own adjustment perhaps when your swing changes. They further built on that with a driver that could not only select Neutral, Fade or Draw but where one could adjust face angle and loft.  They were also bold to add colours and graphics to bland golf clubs. From grey to jet black, red to black and then black to matt white and now matt black.  What I found many social golfers didn't like were where some drivers have too many adjustments that by the time you have tinkered enough with it you may already have given up golf. Wow! It has been fast and furious. I didn't know nor have time to pen down Game Week 14 predictions. Game Week 13 was exhilarating. Arsenal continued their run with an emphatic 3-0 away win at Cardiff where City and Utd faltered showing their title ambition followed by a 2-0 win over Hull who just thumped Liverpool 3-1 over the weekend. Liverpool was bad at the weekend but returned to life with a big win at Anfield over the Canaries with red hot Suarez scoring 4 goals. If he keep on and keep up he shall be the top scorer and player of the year. Tottenham and AVB survived and played very well putting Man Utd under siege but allowed the visitors to level soon after they scored each time. They have a little breathing space having won away at Craven Cottage but Utd floundered at Old Trafford to a solid Everton side who thrashed Stoke 4-0 at the weekend.
