EPL 2017/18 - Game Week 10

As you watch things unfold, you will actually learn many things about management, team work, values, psychology, attitude, organisation, opportunities, etc. Fortunes change all the time. In crisis there are opportunities. Some dreams turned into nightmares, others rise from the ashes. Why Mourinho dare not play like Guardiola or Klopp, why Klopp can't be more like Mourinho defensively. Why such a good team like Tottenham haven't won the title? In 2015/16, Leicester shook the EPL and the world. Last seaon Chelsea pipped them. This season, Tottenham have been as good, perhaps even better but have to contend with an equally highly impressive Manchester City. These two are the potential Champions in a 1-2 finish. While as I have predicted Ronald Koeman has been sacked by Everton, Slaven Bilic may be in danger next. Manchester United v Tottenham - Mourinho's United just do not play like a 300 million pound team. They struggled and were deservedly beaten by a very good Hud

Ely Callaway turned his Callaway Golf Company from USD5 million in 1988 to over more than USD800 million by 1997  once said: "Golf is about the occasional good shot". He made famous the Big Bertha models for both woods and irons and named it after the huge World War 1 German cannon because they have a bigger head. Callaway sold more than USD5 billion worth of golf clubs from nothing, far more than anybody else in the world has ever done. They also owned Odyssey brand putters. Their most controversial product was the ERC II (ERC stands for Ely Reeves Callaway, his name) driver which was banned in US competition. His philosophy was to make golf more enjoyable for the average golfer.  Ely sold his winery and bought a small golf company called Hickory Sticks and changed the name to Callaway Hickory Sticks for USD435,000. In 1988, they introduce the revolutionary S2H2 concept - redistributing weight at the hosel to be used elsewhere and pushing the shaft straight to the club

EPL 2017/18 - Game Week 9

Things are changing every week. Be it international games like qualifying for the World Cup or the domestic league. Fortunes, they are a-changing. Singapore became 173 in world football from an all time high of 70s. Some traditional world soccer powers are on the decline while a few others are on the rise. There are still qualifying business to do. Sweden will take on Italy, Republic of Ireland plays Denmark, Northern Ireland meets Switzerland, Croatia versus Greece. The Premier League is the same. Sometimes, you get the wrong owners, the wrong managers or even the wrong players. Sometimes, such wrong decisions can lead one into the wilderness. It is the same with life. Life is never fair. Ask Craig Shakespeare. Ask Mourinho. Life is an unfair race. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DmaxFgXZ1I (Life Is An Unfair Race)- Mike Steele West Ham v Brighton - Michail Antonio is back. How the Hammers missed him through injury last season and he got the goal last week against Burnle

Xin Yuan Ji - Fish Head Steamboat And Seafood

I discovered the place a long time ago. We just need a bit of healthier food sometimes and well fish head steam boat sounded kind of suitable. So sometime ago, we decided to check in. At first, we just had fish soup and later we tried the fish steamboat at Lorong Ah Soo or to be exact: 107, Hougang Avenue 1, #01-00, Singapore 530107 Hougang Ave 1, Singapore 530107 Steamboat always brings me back to those days of old where we felt it was good hence the 'good old days''. Those were the days where we used lots of charcoal. Sometimes, after eating half-way, charcoal were added.  I was curious about their other foods so I ordered the Hokkien Mee which turned out to be different and tasted unique. They use the thin bee hoon (vermicelli) instead of the usual thick ones. A friend used to comment that nowadays, they seemed to have stopped using thinly sliced pork belly in Hokkien Mee but here they not only do but they gave you roast

EPL 2017/18 - Game Week 8

The World Cup qualification is almost over and done. When Iceland did so well and had England beaten in the European Championship it was no fluke. Their 2-0 win over Kosovo was more than enough to see the nation of only 335,000 people going to the 2018 finals in Russia. Yes, only 335,000 people. They have set a new world record being the smallest nation by population to have reached a World Cup! They were even two points clear of Croatia to top their group with 7 wins, a draw and 2 defeats. Before that, it was Trinidad and Tobago with 1.3 million (2006), Northern Ireland with 1.5 million (1982), Slovenia with under 2 million (2002) and Kuwait (1982) with 2 million. Even more incredible is the fact that Iceland has only 20,000 registered players (including females) making them the planet's smallest playing pool but Iceland has a UEFA qualified coach for every 500 people, England has one in 10,000. Singapore soccer has a lot to learn from here from these countries with small populat
