Maldives became the 93rd country to have visited my blog. Cheers! Talking about cheers, people tend to equate that with clinking of glasses and then having a tipper. It is a way to relax like just having a beer. Beer is a social lubricant and lately there have been reports that having a beer or two each day can be good for health. Definitely not binge drinking. Maybe it's a guy thing when they say "Let's have one more then we'll go." Doctors need to be careful telling their patients that one or two glasses is okay especially to older folks. Three old guys were walking. One guy said: "Windy, isn't it?" The second one said: "No, It's Thursday!" The third one said: "So am I, let's go get a beer." There was this 80 year old man who has just seen a doctor for a health check. A few days later, the doctor saw him with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. The doctor spoke to him: "You are doing really great. What'

God For A Day

Some of us don't believe in God and there are those of us who do. Yet there are others who believe there is the devil but even the devil believes n God. For one is light and the other is darkness.  Even those who believe there is God do not seem to live as if there is God. They fail to see the wonders of everyday miracles. They never thanked God. Yet, when something is wrong they are the first to blame God. I would grieve on that, let alone God. Have you dealt with people like that before? You do all the wonderful things for them which they never knew nor appreciated then after they get all the goodies they turn around and bite you. There are also those who seems Godly by convenience. Like Seven Eleven, they are open 24 hours and is like a convenience store. They can appear very good on the surface or strut their good side and best behaviour when others are watching but do the opposite as long as it benefits them and whenever it is convenient. Do we do charitable works t

EPL Game Week 10

Everton v Manchester United - It is a good time to meet Manchester United but not Everton based strictly on last week's result. SAF (Sir Alex Ferguson) is going through what Wenger went through earlier. The 1-6 mauling was was like a terrier versus  a Rottweiler but United will not just fade away. Sometimes the opposite can happen but it's a bit too soon and Evertonians are no wimps. 2-2. Chelsea v Arsenal - This is supposed to be a cracker of the weekend. To go down 0-1 to QPR is not funny especially it was a London derby. Then Bosingwa and Drogba got sent off and all hell broke loose. Even John Terry got into trouble. Andre Villa-Boas (AVB) must be biting his nails maybe even Terry's toe nails. While Chelski laboured in vain Arsenal hosted Stoke and had a great  3-1 result. This will be a very interesting game. Torres will be back after completing his 3-game suspension and could be among the scorers. Robbie van Persie (RVP) is also in rich form. 1-1. Manchester C

Pets

Image
In the good old days, people reared chickens and ducks to trade or for food. People were poor and they can't even feed themselves sufficiently let alone keep pets. Dogs were kept to keep strangers and pests like snakes away but as society gets more affluent, keeping pets became fashionable. Very often, pets got abandoned needlessly as owners got tired of them. Makes me wonder how many are really animal lovers. I know those who loves animals because they taste good. I have my experience with dogs but when they got given away or died, you will feel sad and forlorn. Yet there are others out there who swear by their feline partners - cats. They think cats got more character and are more intelligent. They feel that dogs are well, just loyal while cats need you to earn their respect. Then there are those who love birds, like golfers.  Rearing fish is another great fascination. Their species are just mind boggling. I mean you don't keep many species of cats and dogs but you c
