When people asked me what I do for a living, I always tell them I'm in the Merry time business. The actual word is Maritime. I play a part in bringing goods to you, all kinds of goods including your cars, machinery, computers, TVs and really everything else. The Maritime industry is actually a very varied and huge one which when look at in totality includes logistics, warehousing and distribution, etc. plus many more types. In the maritime business, ships play a core part in the chain of things. We can lament about the stress and tough work we have to do but look at the seafarers and what they do and face on each voyage on a ship and being away from their families for long periods. Without these folks, the world will stand still. They are the unsung heroes of this world. I pray that God be with them. Do you believe in angels? When we were young we may have heard of stories of angels or during moments of spirituality you may feel touched by angels. Sometimes, you would have read about dangerous situation where people are said to have encountered and saved by angels. There is always something to learn whoever you are, wherever you are and whatever situation you are in. Once, we were walking on the street and had to stop at a traffic junction awaiting the pedestrian man to turn green. At this point, a little boy ran towards us and attempted to cross the street. We stopped him. Very soon, his parents came by to take charge and instead of thanking us, made a remark that their child is a smart boy and know how to cross the street. This is beyond reason. Do you agree with me that when walking on the streets, parents should be holding their children's hands until they are of a certain age? You can teach very young children to be aware of open windows without grills but when they are young even if very clever they are still children. When they are happily playing they can forget. Sometimes, a bit of stress is necessary to give us a little nudge, a push to excel, to achieve, to reach higher. However, nobody could tell us when it is suitable to allow stress from which age or to stop by when. Or how much stress is acceptable on a daily or weekly basis. I think in society today, we have many walking zombies. Some how some one may just go berserk anytime anywhere. If nobody kills anyone, then there could be implosions. State Of Mind We are constantly in a certain state of mind. When we are negative, we become pessimistic, moody, angry. Few people feel or acknowledge that they can control it and even fewer know that they can change it.
